The elevation changes in Lisbon provide drama. On foot, you can see streets intersecting at all sorts of odd angles. Get to the top of one of the city's seven hills and you will find sweeping views. The problem is that everybody else is trying to take-in those same vistas.
The Portuguese have a word, Miradouro, which means viewpoint. I have no doubt you will find Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara or Miradouro da Graça and all the other famous viewpoints. This list is for some out-of-the-way, less obvious locations that provide great views with fewer people around.
I hesitate to call these undiscovered or unknown views in Lisbon. They exist ergo they are known. Let's call them unconventional. These spots are rarely in the guide books and aren't part of the Instagram algorithm yet. I want to share these spots, most of which I found by accident, because they are slyly spectacular.

As a grad student, most of my time is spent working. As someone with ADHD and a very short attention span, I love changing up where I am working whether that is at home, the office, or a coffee shop. Charlottesville has many coffee shops that are both great for meeting a friend and chatting and getting some work done. Full disclosure, I am not a coffee drinker so I cannot attest to the taste of the coffee, but I LOVE tea and food.

It's impossible not to have seen this film at least once in your life!
If you are a musical lover or simply curious about the 70s and 80s, you must admire the music of ABBA and the musical "Mamma Mia!". After the great cinematic success, there was a real tourist boom, called "the Mamma Mia effect" where everyone wondered where the beautiful island where the musical was filmed was located.
If as summer approaches you are wondering where the beautiful island of Kalokairi is located with its famous Villa Donna hotel, don't bother looking for it among the thousands of islands of the Hellenic archipelago because it simply doesn't exist, its name (which among other things it means “summer”) is a cinematic invention.
The whole story is set in Greece, but in three different locations, chosen after a careful inspection of islands, gulfs, towns and ports: the islands of Skopelos and Skiathos in the Sporades and the village of Damouhari, on the Pelion peninsula.
Are you ready to find out where they are? (Continue reading if you want to discover all the locations of the musical)

Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, covering an area of approximately 25,711 square kilometers.
We were there for 6 days. Given the island’s size, six days aren’t sufficient to cover all the major sites, but during my research and planning, I concentrated on Palermo, Catania, and nearby attractions. We spent 3 days in Catania and 3 days in Palermo. We used Catania and Palermo as starting points to explore the surrounding areas. During the day, we relaxed at the beach, and in the evenings, we wandered through the cities, soaking in the Sicilian vibe without focusing on any specific attractions—just enjoying the atmosphere. So, let’s start!
