1. Where to stay and when

Here I suggest some places to stay for a medium budget. The island is quite expensive and crowded, go there in June or late September if you can..

Please please rent a scooter, streets can be very narrow so cars are quiet difficoult to park especially in town

Aeolos Resort
@giuliabettazzi
Nice place with sunset views, service is friendly and top quality, I can recommend this place as it is a short distance from the city Chora (the center) so you can walk there in 20 min max. Yes it is on a main road full of traffic but past the first 5 min walk the street gets quieter

Collini Suites & Villas Mykonos
@giuliabettazzi
If you can rent a scooter or a car this place offers unbeatable sea views so you can wake up surrounded by the blue. Service is outstanding and I can recommed having a drink watching the sunset on their terrace. I used to have a nice walk early in the morning to see the surroundings and I can advice you to do so if you want to have a breath of fresh air and feel like you are in a quiet island as this part is really quiet all day long

2. Best beaches

You can rent a sunbed paying directly or with a minimum spending on food and drink

Παραλία Ελιά
@giuliabettazzi
A very nice, big beach with some places to rend sunbeds, there is a big restaurant (Elia beach restaurant) with a nice service to have lunch on the beach (or have it served directly at your sunbed) It can be busy in August but is very big so there is space for everyone, music is not too loud

Παραλία Καλό Λιβάδι
@giuliabettazzi
Honestly my favourite beach of the island, it is quite far from the centre (20 min in scooter) but it is approachable. There are some places to rent sunbeds at different prices, and honestly my favourite is the Lohan Beach as yes it is posh but you get nice sundbeds and excellent food. It is not so crowdy at peak times and music is nice, not a party beach, but quieter

Paraga beach
@giuliabettazzi
This is one of the most famous beaches in Mykonos. I love to rent a sunbed at this beach, there are beach clubs with music (Kalua and Santanna) but there is also Taverna Tasos that still remains one of my favourite places to eat in the whole island. This beach can be very busy and noisy in August

3. Best restaurants

I personally prefer to eat in a typical taverna rather than in fancy restaurants but here you can find choices for every budget

Tasos Taverna
@giuliabettazzi
As mentioned above, this is my top choice when I decide to spend the day in Paraga beach, prices are not so high quality is top and everyone is really kind

Limnios Tavern
@giuliabettazzi
If you are looking for traditional food, at reasonable prices just 10 by scooter from the city center this place is for you! If you are lucky you can seat by the windows and enjoy the sea view. Food is well prepared, this place is family owned you can definitey feel at home here

To Maereio
@giuliabettazzi
No reservation, friendly service, home cooked family food this is one of my favourite places in Mykonos. You can ask for a table and have some wine while you wait (and have a chat sitting in the street) Everything is so good and the menu has some extras everyday

Noema
@giuliabettazzi
Fancy dinner out anyone? This is my favourite place in the center of the Chora, friendly and elegant service, amazing food and setting, some background music. Portions are big some are made to share, I'm in love with Noema I always want to come back
