Thump Roastery & Bakery

Thump on York has it all: great coffee, a killer view of the mountains, indoor/outdoor seating and reliable WiFi. They also have a bakery on site. Try their seasonal coffees (with house-made syrups), the Spicy Breakfast Sandwich or their Avocado Herb Toast. Order the chocolate croissant and save yourself the airfare to Paris. Line too long? Try their location at The Grove 3 blocks over.

Lone Pine Coffee Roasters

For my money, the best cup of drip coffee or espresso in town. Even their DECAF espresso is good! They make their chai in house, and it has a lovely spicy-sweet balance. Seating inside does fill up quickly, but in nice weather, simply grab one of the outside tables or take your coffee to go and stroll around Downtown.

Come for the local coffee, pastries or libations and stay for the unparalleled view of Mirror Pond. This Downtown gem begs you to stay awhile with comfy chairs, board games and a great outdoor space. Always a great stop before or after the Bend Farmer's Market or a First Friday.

The Pantry transcends its identity as a cafe to also be a sustainable mercantile and is even home to a small scoop shop, Grey Duck Ice Cream. But don't let that distract you - the uniquely flavored espresso drinks are delicious as is their rose chai. Don't skip the pastries either - their scones and homemade Pop Tarts are stellar in addition to their vegan and gluten-free options.
