People love going to K-town in Manhattan, but most Korean Americans that I know say that Flushing has the best K-town. It's less saturated but it's more authentic, with Korean churches, karaoke, and Korean grocery stores. It's actually a Korean community. Flushing is more known for its Chinese & Taiwanese influence, and Murray Hill is more known for its Korean influence. Use this guide as a checklist for the best places to eat in Flushing/Murray Hill & use the interactive map function at the top right of the guide to find the place closest to you when you're looking to grab a delicious bite. Vegan sushi can also serve as a great alternative for those who enjoy those flavours but aren’t big fans of raw fish. I have a couple of friends who aren’t vegan but actually prefer vegan sushi over fish sushi as they find it to be less intense. Another consideration is the cost. So, I’d say it’s a win-win combination. I’ve compiled a list of some of my favourite vegan-friendly sushi restaurants in and around central London. I have a friend who LOVES books and records, so for her birthday, I created a list of easily walkable book and record stores in Lower Manhattan. Each stop was less than ten minutes walk from the last, and the pace left us enough time to browse each store to our hearts' content.
