Weeki Wachee Springs State Park is a beautiful park on the Weeki Wachee River. My favorite fun fact about this park is that Elvis Presley himself has been here to watch one of the infamous Mermaid Shows. Admissions are as follows: $13 for adults, $8 for children ages 6 to 13, and under the age of 5 enter free.

Don’t miss the opportunity to kayak or paddle board on the Weeki Wachee River. Located right behind the park is the kiosk to plan your river endeavors. Be sure to plan ahead as the days will be booked days in advance especially during the winter months.

A 7 minute drive away from Weeki Wachee State Park, is one of my local restaurant favorites Upper Deck. After a day on the river I would recommend having lunch here to enjoy great food with a water view.

Less than a 10 minute drive from Weeki Wachee Springs is Jenkin’s Creek Park. A beautiful park to enjoy being in the nature of Florida, where there is a sky tower that overlooks the miles of palm trees that await. The canals are visible from within the park that I’ve seen manatees from up close numerous times.
