The blend of heritage and futuristic developments makes Dubai a unique destination that celebrates its past while embracing the possibilities of tomorrow.

In the record breaking '23-'24 year, I was buried under 600 inches of fresh powder living as a ski-instructor in SoCal's favorite mountain town. While I was shoveling myself out, I learned some of the secrets of Mammoth Lakes that make the town special outside of Alterra's incredible mega-resort. Experience the town like a true local with tips for:
❄︎ Cafés
❄︎ A Base Area Breakdown (which of the 3 is best for you!)
❄︎ Mammoth's Best Runs (and lesson tips)
❄︎ Hot Springs
❄︎ Hikes
❄︎ Indoor Fun
❄︎ Restaurants (with gluten free, of course!)
❄︎ Après-Ski
❄︎ Lodging

I’m going to cover all of my favorite places to eat and drink in San Sebastian, Spain!
About me and my travel style: I lived in San Sebastian from February-April, 2023. I restaurant and bar hopped my way through each neighborhood and am here to tell you my recommendations! If you’re the type of foodie that values atmosphere, presentation, and all-around vibes, then this is the guide for you! I’m all about budget with a side of splurge! What does that mean? Well, sometimes I spend more on a cocktail than the amount of food I’ve ordered. But other times, I order multiple pintxos (pronounced pinchos) and wait to buy a bottle of wine at the supermarket afterwards! Don’t let the colorful salad photo fool you, the majority of this guide focuses on pastries, meat, and cheese! I like to be out and about, and as a solo traveler, bars and restaurants provide a great place to people watch! I’ll include the places I frequented on my own, the spots me and my newfound friends hit, and where I took my guests who visited me for a more high-end experience! I’ll give you my perspective as a 27-year-old American from Atlanta, and I’ll share tid bits I heard along the way from others!
About San Sebastian: You will not be disappointed with the amount of cafes, restaurants, and bars available at your fingertips! This town thrives on their cuisine and nightlife, so there’s something for everyone! Since the amount of options can be overwhelming, I’m here to share the highlights from my experience after some hits and some misses! I really tried to narrow down this list, so I capped it at 45 places.
This guide includes where to go, for what meal, and in which neighborhood:
- Breakfast
- Lunch
- Pintxos
- Dinner
- Dessert
- Drinks

Kutaisi: A weekend of architecture, culture, sanitoriums, and Soviet-era relics.
Embark on a picturesque weekend escape to the enchanting city of Kutaisi, nestled approximately 220 kilometers west of Tbilisi (a 3.5-hour drive). Serving as the capital of the historic Imereti region and boasting a legacy as one of Europe's oldest settlements, Kutaisi exudes an "old world" village-like ambiance complemented by chic boutique hotels and a burgeoning culinary and cultural scene. Spend your days exploring lively food markets, marveling at the Soviet-era relics, and delving into quirky museums. During the early 19th century, Kutaisi flourished as the epicenter of Georgian creativity, nurturing renowned playwrights, authors, and poets. Today, sculptures and bas-reliefs honoring local musicians, artists, and literary luminaries embellish its streets, reflecting its rich cultural heritage. Nestled alongside the Rioni River amidst sprawling tea fields and hilly farmland, the city also serves as the perfect launchpad for exploring the surrounding countryside. And don't miss the chance for an urban exploration adventure in Tskaltubo, where you'll experience a surreal, post-apocalyptic wasteland of abandoned sanatoriums.

The Minho region is located in the north of Portugal and holds 24 cities within the districts of Viana do Castelo and Braga.
This is where Portugal was born, more specifically in Guimarães. Therefore, there’s no shortage of historical buildings and cultural events to visit and get to know the country's heritage in depth. 🏰
The famous Minho hospitality is synonymous with full tables, traditional dishes and fresh wines. 🍷

Thrifting is a great way to buy new pieces of clothing while also saving a few extra dollars...and most importantly it's a sustainable way to shop! I spent a lot of my free time in Madrid wondering around the streets finding new thrift stores to browse through and I ended up purchasing some amazing pieces I will keep for a long time!
In this guide you will find my top recommendations for thrift stores in Madrid organized by area so you can plan your shopping day around what area you want to visit, or if you find yourself in the shopping mood while your out and about you can check this guide to see what is nearby!
Keep in mind stores are usually closed on Sundays and store hours are typically 10:00/11:00 until 20:00/21:00, but beware that the Spanish take their siesta seriously and stores may be closed around 14:30-16:30!
