One Week In Samara, Costa Rica.
Twenty Five Days a Year
If you are visiting Costa Rica and want a slow, relaxing week in paradise with some day trips sprinkled in, THIS is the place and the itinerary for you. Samara, Costa Rica is a village in Guanacaste located on the pacific coast that is often overlooked but for us that meant a quiet vacation without the overload of tourists in Costa Rica's paradise. Think surfing, wildlife, coastal vibes, and great restaurants. Samara is one of those places we will 100% be going back to visit - it sticks with you!
In this itinerary you will find:
-> One week itinerary (including travelling days) outlining what to do, eat, see each day
-> Suggestions for where to stay in the area
-> Suggested tours and our experiences (think ATV tours, Monteverde / Cloud Forest, surfing, hiking, beach hopping, dolphins, turtles, sloths, coffee / chocolate, and more)
-> Our favourite spots for activities, restaurants, eats
-> Tips for local culture, transportation, etc
This itinerary outlines every day and provides links to everything you can or will need. We loved Samara and this itinerary is based off our personal experience in this cute coastal town.

Getting Around
If you're flying into Costa Rica, the likely airport you will land in is either San Jose or Liberia. As you won't need a car for this itinerary (you really don't need one, unless you plan on going to multiple different places), we recommend you organize an airport transfer to get you to Samara. Here are a few airport transfer options. After our flights we thought a private transfer was the quickest and best way to get to our next destination.
To get around in Samara it's a super small town so renting an ATV and walking around should get you everywhere you need to go!
