The vibrant city-state of Singapore is nestled at the tip of the Malay Peninsula. This tiny island nation is a harmonious blend where tradition meets modernity. Singapore has a captivating history and rich cultural heritage that is celebrated through its diverse blend of ethnicities, languages, and religions. Singapore was once a small, old fishing village on the edge of the jungle. It went through an incredible transformation and turned into the bustling metropolis and the global economic powerhouse that it is today. Despite its futuristic architecture, Singapore's history is preserved throughout the city such as its lush green spaces, colonial black and white bungalows, and Peranakan shophouses. Singapore has so much to offer. The world-class Changi airport, immaculate cleanliness, vibrant street food culture, efficient public transportation, low crime rates, and strict governance (most famously, the chewing gum ban) to name a handful. The only downfalls I can think of are the insane heat and humidity as Singapore sits right on the equator. So why local-ish? I first visited Singapore when I was 6-months old. My dad was born and raised in Singapore. Funnily enough, one of my mom's brothers has lived there for 30 years and we've had a handful of other family members (on both sides) live there over the years too. I've lost count of how many times I've visited but it's definitely one of my favorite places in the world and feels a bit like home. If you've never been to Asia before, Singapore is the perfect destination to start with. It's like a stepping stone to the rest of the world. Paros is an amazing Cycladic island (right next to Mykonos) with beautiful beaches, views, food and people. It’s a great island for families, couples, a group of friends or even solo travelers. I’ve been to it twice; once in 2021 and again in 2023. I have to say it has changed in 2-years, it’s more expensive and DEFINITELY busier. Paros is a hot spot for both Greek and foreign tourists so I highly recommend a visit, and to book restaurants and boats in advance especially if you're a big group.

Calling Naples a dynamic city doesn't even cover the amount of charm, culture, vibrancy that make up this town. Napoli is a FANTASTIC destination to explore, while visiting Italy, and is home to some of the BEST food. Check out this guide for all you need to know about Naples to have the perfect time. London is an incredible city with so much history to see within easy access of the Underground train system. After a slight learning curve (those gates close quick! If traveling with kids or baggagemake sure you use the wider family gate) the tube and bus system is extremely easy to navigate. This guide includes 3 very full days of sightseeing followed by 3 days of Formula 1, but they could easily be spread out across a longer time period for a more relaxed trip. This guide is especially for families that might be traveling to the British Grand Prix. London is a good jumping off point, although the daily commute from London is long, it is doable. If you will be doing the commute I recommend finding accommodations near Marylebone due to the nearly direct train to Bansbury where a shuttle takes you to the track. And for anyone with food allergies, we found the restaurants to be exceedingly proficient about handling allergies. The ones we ate at are listed within. The Kootenay region is a haven for anyone seeking recreation and relaxation, who wants something a tad quieter than Banff and Canmore. Located just West of the Southern Canadian Rockies, the Kootenays have charming small towns, jaw-dropping landscapes, friendly people, a relaxed energy and more trails than one could possible explore in a lifetime. As a local who lives here, and has travelled throughout the East and West Kootenays, there are so many incredible places/things/spots/shops in this region that deserve the same hype as their Alberta mountain town neighbours. The Kootenay's are just as cool (but quieter and more affordable)!
