Nyhavn
@aviva
The main tourist strip in Copenhagen. It’s the quintessential Copenhagen shot. It’s also where you can pick up a boat tour to get a better perspective of the city and all of the new buildings, bridges and neighborhoods that are sustaining this city.

Danish Jewish Museum
@aviva
The museum isltself is pretty ho-hun however the building itself is stunning. Designed by Daniel Leibskind the interior is clad with Swedish birch to symbolize the boats the Jews were taken in to safety in Sweden. The form of the museum is also purposeful in that it makes you feel a bit wobbly to have it feel like the unevenness of being in a boat.

Louisiana Museum of Modern Art
@aviva
An incredible property that is devoted to all forms of art starting with an expansive property that features sculpture and a massive building that somehow just keeps going, there
Is always another area to discover. The art was full range from sculpture to painting to film clips.
It was very enjoyable to spend the day here and the cafeteria had great food!

Restaurant Barr
@aviva
Although Located in the former NOMA location and while it’s not NOMA it is very good. Menu is very seasonal and local based. Also not cheap. They have an extensive beer menu too.

This is an expensive night out even by Copenhagen standards. It’s also a party. You will be drunk and full by the end of the night. Enjoy!

Hotel D'Angleterre

Very swanky and very expensive. It is right in the middle of town and is a beautiful building with incredibly appointed suites. The breakfast is mixed buffet and a la carte.

Andersen Hotel

The weakest hotel in this itinerary, however conveniently located next to the train station. We used the train a lot while in Copenhagen including the airport and to the Louisiana Museum, which if you are into art is a must.

Hart Bageri
@aviva
The first bakery we went to upon arrival in Copenhagen. The cardamom flavoured bun (made from croissant dough) was exceptional and everything else was delicious too.
It was so good we (the husband )came back the morning of our flight to bring some baked goodies on the flight home.

Juno the bakery

Run by a Noma alum this was voted the best bakery in the city and it did not disappoint. We made a pit stop here before our flight to Stockholm and it was worth the detour. Lemon load d and draw between galettes were delish.

Wanås Hotel
@aviva
Stayed here as part of a six day bike trip so this hotel is likely not well situated. However the property is incredible. Owned for hundreds of years by the same family (semi-royalty). The property has a very comfortable hotel, an art gallery, farm to table restaurant and working dairy farm. Really quite lovely!

Sofiero Palace

A spectacular garden and sprawling property. Modelled after typical English garden. The most incredible Dahlias I’ve ever seen.
The home was closed for renovations when we were there.

KOK Oslo Sauna, Langkaia

Super refreshing. We went in the summer and th temperature difference between the sauna and the water was stark. I can’t imagine what it would be like in winter which is apparently the busy season for saunas.
