Stays
I highly recommend staying on the North Shore. Hotels are slightly cheaper in Honolulu, but North Shore is worth the extra money and the majority of this itinerary is focused on the northern part of the island. If you do decide to stay in Honolulu, the drive to the North Shore is only about an hour.
We stayed at this Airbnb and the location was perfect. Plus, they have three dogs on the property!
