A short 3-day guide in Hong Kong! I’ve been to Hong Kong numerous times as a child, so here’s a more chill food and drinks trip itinerary for my most recent trips there.
I have included some of the other tourist spots and food recommendations at the very bottom as well.
I hope you enjoy this guide.
Any tips would be appreciated 😊

Dorsett Wanchai, Hong Kong
@annechua
A well-known hotel group Dorsett hotels, their WanChai location was affordable and very near to a bus stop and MTR station.

A bustling indoor market with lots of stalls selling arts and crafts, products, and food! Within Central Market there is the famous mammy pancake (eggettes) but be prepared to wait!

@annechua
Recommended eggettes place from my local HK friends! You may find lots of stalls selling this but they may not be good.

Yung Kee Restaurant
@annechua
Previously the recipient of a Michelin star, Yung Kee is still popular and known for their roast goose and meats! A bit on the pricier side, it is worth a try for their roasted meats.

Night
Tsim Chai Kee Noodle
@annechua
With many Michelin guide posters on the wall, this is a local wonton mee place not to miss! Situated right opposite Mak’s noodles (another famous establishment), the lines for this were much longer. Be prepared to also share tables with others if you’re a small party.

Mak’s noodle is a well known establishment and has opened branches overseas as well. There are many branches all over HK to try them out!

Day 2
Morning
Kam Fung Restaurant 金鳳茶餐廳
@annechua
Highly rated for their Bolo bao (pineapple bread with butter) and chicken pie, be prepared to queue even in the morning. But don’t worry, as their turnover is very quick as most places are in HK. Unfortunately I got the bolobao as a takeaway which was not as good as I was expecting as it wasn’t warm and without butter.

Capital Cafe
@annechua
Another famous local chachaanteng, if you didn’t manage to check out Australian Dairy Co, this is a similar style cafe which you should try the macaroni soup and pastries. Some say this is better than the famous Australian dairy co.

@annechua

Australia Dairy Company
@annechua
Similar style of chachaanteng to Capital Cafe, this is a very popular establishment amongst tourists. Known for their milk desserts, we also tried the macaroni/spaghetti soup and French toast (which was actually really good)!

Fook Yuen
@annechua
We went to Fook Yuen just before they opened at 4pm and there was already a queue of a few people waiting for them to open! With only 3 dine in tables, it is definitely worth a try with the best sesame tangyuan in sesame paste (glutinous rice ball dessert in sesame paste) I’ve had. The paste was rich and smooth and the tangyuan was silky smooth and had enough filling.
