Of course you have to be careful, but it’s all about commun sense. - Do not film peoples or anything without autor in the favela. - Do not show off & act chill. - Do not drink to much, always keep your mind clear. - Always keep a bit of cash with you in case someone tries to robe you. - Please try to help the peoples around you & local economy. For exemple if you need a bottle of water or gums. it’s better to buy it from someone in the street than in a supermarket. If you give respect, you receve respect. In 2017, I studied abroad for a semester in Florence, Italy, and just about died and went to pasta heaven! From January through May, I ate like a queen. I honestly have no idea how I afforded to eat out as much as I did. But it was worth every cent! As soon as I was confirmed into the Lorenzo de'Medici program, various friends of friends sent their recommendations and guides for Florence to me. I inherited a wealth of inside knowledge about Florence like the secret bakeries, wine windows, and where to find the cute bartenders. I referred to these guides religiously in the first few weeks of getting my footing before establishing my own favorites around the city and starting my own Florence food guide. There's no doubt in my mind that there are newer additions to the Florence restaurant scene since I was there in 2017. Bourbon- a throughly American spirit made with at least 51% corn and distilled only in brand new white oak barrels in the US, and Louisville is the heart of Bourbon. This itinerary is two full days, six distilleries, four fantastic local restaurants along with shopping and stay recommendations. Perfect for a three day weekend! My goal was for us to visit as many distilleries as possible, but try to have a unique experience at everyone one (there is only so many times you need to learn how whiskey is distilled). And as someone who is not a whiskey drinker (but is married to one) I wanted us both to have fun!
