Nicknamed the Land of Fire and Ice because of its many volcanoes and glaciers, there are endless opportunities of gorgeous natural wonders to explore. Over 60% of the people that live in Iceland, live in the capital city of Reykjavik. If you are not renting a car to avoid the intimidation of the slippery roads during winter, all of the activities below can be done right in Reykjavik or by a tour with transfer. SKIP the guides about the Golden Circle unless you're committed to staying in Reykjavic and only venturing out for a day. This guide has the highlights and agenda to do it all along the Southern Coast in just 3-4 days. (I recommend renting a Tesla and using the superchargers along the way to save time.) How to explore Iceland 🇮🇸 the best in a 3-4 day exploration ! Had the opportunity to travel to Iceland during 2 different time periods (August & December). Each time was very unique with the simple fact of daylight. Here is a full list of things to do , eat & stay while in Iceland. August Visit: Average Daylight in Iceland 16 hours. Not everyone has 2 full weeks available to do the entire ring around Iceland, nor does everyone want to camp out in an RV every night or drive a large portion of each day, so this guide is for all you adventure seekers that still want to make Reykjavik your home for 5-7 days, as you see all Iceland has to offer (just within a few hours of the capital).
