7 Days In Iceland Without A Car: Winter Edition
Solo Female Travel Guide
Over the past few years, Iceland has been getting more and more popular by tourists. Nicknamed the Land of Fire and Ice because of its many volcanoes and glaciers, there are endless opportunities of gorgeous natural wonders to explore. Over 60% of the people that live in Iceland, live in the capital city of Reykjavik.
If you are not renting a car to avoid the intimidation of the slippery roads during winter, all of the activities below can be done right in Reykjavik or by a tour with transfer. I’ve gone ahead and provided all the links you need for each tour that I have personally done myself just this year (2022). Have a wonderful time exploring Iceland. 🇮🇸

10:00AM: Arrive at Keflavik Airport
Keflavík Airport
@solofemaletravel
Keflavik Airport (KEF) is the international airport in Iceland that you will be flying into.
Note: If you are wanting alcohol at all during your trip, you should know that spirits were banned in Iceland until 1989. With that being said, there are not a lot of cheap options. If you plan to drink at home, stop at the duty-free liquor store before leaving the airport. Otherwise, there is only 1 state-owned liquor store downtown and it closes fairly early.

10:30AM: Take the KEF Airport: Reykjavik City Bus Transfer to BSI
BSÍ
@solofemaletravel
BSI is the bus stop that almost every tour you take will pick you up from. If you choose to stay at my recommended accommodation, Guesthouse Galtafell, it is a mere 5 minute walk down the street.
