Welcome to our Yummi Places - we are Frank & Lenka. A couple who want to share their Happy Places with many friends in and around Cape Town and with you. Let me show you what to eat, see and do in the enchanting town of Alberobello, located in the Metropolitan City of Bari, Italy, as well as the most unique "trullo" hotels to stay in! This unique destination is filled with "trulli", conical shaped limestone houses which are scattered throughout the Itrian Valley. Originally used as temporary field sheds by farmers, they were ingeniously designed for easy dismantling to evade tax officers! Interesting eh? We loved our time in this beautiful little town and surrounding countryside that's just an hour south of Dublin. There's so many wonderful and unique hikes to choose from and no shortage of pubs and restaurants either! There's only one cafe that allows dogs inside in town, but depending on where your adventure takes you, there are a few more options in the surrounding county. Bring your hiking boots or least sturdy footwear, you're not going to want to miss these beautiful, scenic walks!

Tunisia is definitely underrated. Mediterranean beaches, Roman ruins, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Sahara desert, movie sets (*ahem* Star Wars), the smells and visual overload of the souks in the medinas. I'm blown away by how Tunisia is often over looked as a North African destination. Not only is it extremely affordable it's safe and easy to travel in. So get that linen shirt on! Thailand is known as the Land of Smiles and Thai people will like you. You can get more opportunities if you smile more! There was once where I went to a nail salon and I smiled and said "khoob-khun MA ka", the lady was really sweet and helped me painted the rest of my nails for free even though I only paid for designs on two nails! Seeing all of the lighthouses we could find was the focus of this trip, but we found so much more along the way. Flying into Boston, Massachusetts we made our way along the coast all the way to Portland, Maine. We stayed five nights and six days exploring all of the nooks and crannies we encountered. Lighthouses were definitely found and loved, but excitedly so was a fort built in the 1600's, a local bar with ties to a tragedy as well as part of a movie, a fabulously, politically incorrect tour, and even stayed in a witch's house. You will find all of these in this guide and so much more. Lighthouses, restaurants, tours, and oh my gosh, the best donuts you will find anywhere. This was an incredibly fun trip. I also include many of the photos I took at each place.
