The Must-Visit Beach Destinations 🏖
Nosara
@costa-tica-travel
This beach town seems is where many celebrities escape to in Costa Rica, and I can totally see why. Nosara is clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing, but still has that pura vida charm. Perhaps the most enchanting beach town in all of Costa Rica, Nosara is set apart by its sheer number of unique beaches within a short drive from the town's center! There's even a beach with pink sand!

Puerto Viejo de Talamanca
@costa-tica-travel
Puerto Viejo is an endearing port town that will let you experience the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. You’ll enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere and a surprisingly different cuisine. Rice and beans are cooked in coconut milk, which adds a nice flair to the Costa Rican casado.

Punta Uva
@costa-tica-travel
Located just a few minutes from Puerto Viejo, Punta Uva is THE most beautiful beach in Costa Rica. It is an elegant escape perfect for snorkeling, sun-bathing. There is even an impressive lookout! You can rent bikes for the day in Puerto Viejo and head for this secluded beach frequented by the locals.

Playa Conchal
@costa-tica-travel
This beach is a contender for the best beach in all of Guanacaste. As mentioned above, the name of this beach comes from the sand that is entirely made of crushed seashells! The water is a beautiful turquoise color and the waves are gentle. It feels like a natural pool! You won't regret visiting this paradise on Earth.

Tamarindo
@costa-tica-travel
An upscale beach town that will have you feeling right at home. Tamarindo misses the mark on Costa Rican authenticity, but it has great restaurants, night life, shopping, a beautiful beach, and it's the perfect spot to take a surfing lesson! Go for the day, but be sure to stay to catch the sunset. There are plenty of cafes and boutiques in this town that you won't want to miss!

Playa Flamingo
@costa-tica-travel
Easily one of Guanacaste's most beautiful beaches, Flamingo boasts white sand, turquoise water, and noteworthy waves! Perfect for the entire family, you can rent tents for sun protection for the little ones, mom can get a beachside massage (yes, there are masseuses with massage tables stationed in the shade of the overhead trees!), and you can even get meals and snacks delivered from the nearby restaurants to you!

Hi! I'm Kimi, your Costa Rica expert! ☀️
I've been living in Guanacaste, Costa Rica for three years now, but I have been a repeat traveler to CR since 2016! My experiences have enabled me to create carefully crafted content inspired by local knowledge ✨
➡️ Living in Costa Rica has given me the opportunity to get to know Costa Rica's top destinations authentically. Before living in Guanacaste, I lived in Heredia, outside of San Jose, for 5 months. From Tamarindo to Puerto Jimenez, Monteverde to Uvita, Puerto Viejo to Playas del Coco, I've had the opportunity to travel to all different destinations & discover many hidden gems off the typical Costa Rica itinerary.
As far as types of travel, I'm a big advocate of slow travel, but I have done many different kinds of travel within CR. I have planned or helped others plan backpacking, family, & girl trips to this beautiful country.
Working as an international teacher has given me a different perspective in advising longer trips to Costa Rica. I've learned many tips and tricks for finding community, getting around without a car, leasing an apartment, learning Spanish, renting a vehicle, and thriving in the hot province of Guanacaste 🏜
It's very important to me, as a traveler, that I understand the cultural context of the country I am traveling to. My goal is to help my clients feel comfortable and confident in Costa Rica, while respecting this country's unique norms and culture.
My itineraries & guides are designed with all kinds of travelers in mind. From solo traveling to family trips, I've helped many people plan their dream vacation to Costa Rica. My goal is for you to experience Costa Rica at its most authentic, getting to know and interact with its unique culture and biodiversity.
I’m excited for all that awaits you when you answer the call to this natural wonderland. I’m happy to help in whatever way I can along the way! Pura vida!
