The ocean colors along this coast are worth the trip on their own, but Nice has so much more to offer! Besides being a perfect base to explore the Côte d’Azur, there’s a lot in the city deserving your attention. In this guide, I'm sharing all the favorite spots and helpful tips I gathered from the times I visited Nice. If we exclude day trips, these activities can easily fit into a weekend getaway. But you’ll probably want to spend more time in Nice to allow you to explore other towns and beaches nearby. This guide also includes updated information about public transportation. The system changed in July 2023, just a few days before I visited Nice for the second time, and even locals were having a hard time figuring it out.

Towards the west it is more posh as it connects to Union Square, towards the north it is extremely neighborhoody/family oriented near Stuytown, the east brings you the edginess of old-NY and Alphabet City, whereas the south is the trendy area of LES. The East Village is filled with a pleathora of food options for all palates and budgets! Don't have a reservation, no problem - this guide is for you! Marvel at the breathtaking Dolomite views without turning into an Olympic athlete! You can easily explore these beautiful landscapes, no need to be in peak shape. Looking to go on a day-hike during your vacation, an overnight backpacking adventure, or a peak to reach with nice views? This guide is for you if you want to explore local hikes in the South-West (French Speaking part) of Switzerland, easily reachable from the Lake Geneva. Some hike suggestions can be done in a day. Probably most of them. But if you don't want to run and want to enjoy the adventure and the views, you can sleep in a tent or cabin once you are at the top. Because the sunrise/sunset is always worth it! The only app you need to help you around during your hike is: SwitzerlandMobility. In there you will find every information you need about hikes you want to do! These hikes are not for everyone. Some are more difficult and take in between 2-5 hours to complete. Always double check if they are not closed and be ready for any weather!

Located in the mid-west of the country, Sibiu is in Transylvania with a view of the magnificent Southern Carpathian Mountains.
