Taiwan’s must-see night spots

Taiwan’s must-see night spots

The famous nightlife in Taiwan is nothing more than night markets, bars, and other lively places; however, apart from the liveliness, I am fond of appreciating the land and the cities of Taiwan from a different perspective. Hence, some extraordinary night spots I have visited are listed in the guide, including spectacular, tranquil, and romantic attractions. Hope to bring an alternative travel experience for you.

Keelung E-Square
@Wei-Lai
The first mixed-use shopping mall in Keelung. In addition to providing a scenic platform for visitors to enjoy the entire Keelung Port and the busiest intersection in Keelung, E-SQUARE is also the only attraction in Taiwan with an aerial runway. It is a great place to have a leisurely stroll with your partner or family.

Hutoushan Environmental Park
@Wei-Lai
Known as "Star Park" and was originally a landfill in Taoyuan City. After undergoing re-planning, it has successfully lost its "notoriety." The location is not that high; however, it is the commanding height of the city, so it has an unobstructed view of the bright stars and city lights.

Dachidung Peak Pavilion
@Wei-Lai
The top of the mountain could be reached by driving or hiking trails. It is recommended to come in February to March or April to May to enjoy the cherry blossom season and the snowy tung blossom, respectively. After climbing to the top, you can see the night view of the entire valley and Hsinchu, known as the million-dollar night view of Hsinchu.

Jialulan Park
@Wei-Lai
Located on the outskirts of Taitung City. It has unparalleled sea views. The art installation art on the grass is perfect for taking photos. Here, you can watch the sunrise in the morning and look up at the shining stars in the sky at night. It is not to be missed when you come to Taitung.

Hualien Pacific Landscape Park
@Wei-Lai
There is a commanding height near the park, located on Nanbin Road. A short walk will take you to the highest point, where you can feel the evening breeze blowing from the Pacific Ocean, overlook Hualien City in the distance, and enjoy the tranquility. It is also one of the few commanding heights on the seaside of Hualien City.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Hi, I am Jiun-Wei from Tainan, Taiwan. I have been living in the UK for around a year. Over the past year, I have traveled to 19 countries on the European continent with a backpack. Overall, I have visited nearly 35 countries around the world since I was a child. Old towns, atmosphere, local food in the alleyways, architecture, etc., always bring me inexplicable peace. While traveling, I also carry on my job to find a balance between my life and career. Especially working in a variety of places can give me more inspiration and sparks. Not only did I earn a bachelor's degree in Tourism and Culture in Taiwan, but I have just graduated with a Master's degree in Tourism Management from Bournemouth University. Meanwhile, I obtained the status of tour guide and tour leader. During the period of schooling, it fostered my deep interest in culture and history. Moreover, exploring and tasting delicious food worldwide is one of my interests. Hence, the itineraries and the advice I arrange and make for customers are planned around slow-based and historically significant sights and cuisine to provide an enjoyable but alternative travel experience in such a fast-paced society. I have a deeper understanding that each country has unique characteristics and culture after traveling to a number of countries. For instance, the most stunning scenery I have seen is in Iceland; the most mysterious country is Armenia; the place with unexpected scenery is Malta; the most impressive is Jordan, while the most friendly country is Taiwan. Hence, all of memories I gained makes me want to digitize the travel experience and share them more specifically. I hope to help people all over the world feels effortless to plan each of adventure by compiling travel experience into well-organized guidebooks and itineraries that contains my personal travel tips and advice!
