Welcome to Gdańsk! A Polish port city on the Baltic Coast. Rich with history, Gdańsk was home to the first battles of WW2. Today, the city has been mostly reconstructed and has evolved into a colorful, and energetic city, reminiscent of a Polish-Amsterdam. While touristy, especially in nearby Sopot, you can still find lots of phenomenal cafes, bars, and restaurants throughout the city, at any hour of the day. Before you go, be sure to pick up some amber souvenirs as Gdańsk is the center of the world's amber trade.
From this guide, you'll get to know the city and learn what to expect, it includes:
🗺️ Google Maps Version.
📍 Places of Interest.
🏨 Accommodations: Hostels & Hotels. (Adding Soon)
🍽️ Restaurants: Of all prices.

About:
Warsaw, Poland's capital is also its largest city, with over 3.3million residents. Sitting on the Vistula River on the east-central side of the country, Warsaw is a modern metropolis that is distinctly different from most other Polish cities.
The skyline of Warsaw is one of the tallest in Europe, towering over the sprawling areas around the city. Despite the urban feel of the city, there is so much history to be seen, with a historic and charming old town, a plethora of historic castles and buildings, and plenty of modern museums.
Coupled with a diverse restaurant scene and vibrant cafes and bars, there truly is something for everyone, no matter the time of day.

If you follow me on IG, you’ll be well aware of my love for Zakopane. This mountain town nestled at the base of Poland’s Tatra mountains is famous for its skiing in Winter and incredible year-round hikes.
I’ve been there 5 times in 4 years now, and the main reason I come back (apart from the incredible scenery and fresh mountain air) is due to a hostel that holds a special place in my heart. Good Bye Lenin is owned by Marzena and Pawel, a wonderful couple who have created an incredibly wholesome environment for everyone who stays there.
That said, the volunteers who run the hostel are what really makes it stand out. I visited GBL as a guest in Summer 2019 and Winter 2020, but was determined to come back as a volunteer next time. So that’s exactly what I did in 2023 year; not once, but twice!
There’s so much to do on a trip to Zakopane that it would be impossible to list it all, but I’ve rounded up my top recommendations below.
