If you told me a few years ago that I’d complete a 4 day hike in Georgia, I’d honestly ask if you were speaking to the right person. But alas, that’s exactly what I did this summer and I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
The Mestia to Ushguli hike is arguably the most beautiful multi-day hike in Georgia. You pass through lush fields of wildflowers, rushing rivers and a majestic glacier which will truly take your breath away. You stay in adorable guesthouses run by the kindest families and make friends from all over the world along the way. I set off with a friend on the 16th of July and we finished the route with 2 new friends on the 19th.

Having solo backpacked Albania twice, I've stayed in my fair share of hostels. That includes the good, the bad and the downright ugly.
Whilst Hostelworld ratings can be super helpful when deciding where to stay, the best hostels are spread through word-of-mouth. So here's my list of recommended hostels, which include their current HostelWorld rating and link (not an affiliate link) and my pros/cons for each hostel.

If you follow me on IG, you’ll be well aware of my love for Zakopane. This mountain town nestled at the base of Poland’s Tatra mountains is famous for its skiing in Winter and incredible year-round hikes.
I’ve been there 5 times in 4 years now, and the main reason I come back (apart from the incredible scenery and fresh mountain air) is due to a hostel that holds a special place in my heart. Good Bye Lenin is owned by Marzena and Pawel, a wonderful couple who have created an incredibly wholesome environment for everyone who stays there.
That said, the volunteers who run the hostel are what really makes it stand out. I visited GBL as a guest in Summer 2019 and Winter 2020, but was determined to come back as a volunteer next time. So that’s exactly what I did in 2023 year; not once, but twice!
There’s so much to do on a trip to Zakopane that it would be impossible to list it all, but I’ve rounded up my top recommendations below.

There’s a million and one things to see in the UK’s buzzing capital; from historical monuments to hidden speakeasies. I know it can be quite overwhelming for a first time visitor, so I’ve put together this itinerary for anyone who wants to venture off the usual tourist track.

I’ve been to Türkiye twice now and keep being drawn back to Istanbul. From its’ intricate mosques to bustling bazaars, this illustrious city has plenty to offer for any traveller.
But I’m not gonna lie, Istanbul can be an assault on the senses and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed with all the attractions on offer; so here are my recommendations for a 3 day trip. It’s a pretty brief itinerary, which includes a mix of essential tourist sites along with some unique spots that aren’t always mentioned.
