Hello everyone! 🌞

I’m excited to share the details of our recent trip to Gdańsk, Poland. We departed from Hamburg, Germany on an evening flight on July 31st, 2024, and returned on the morning of August 4th, giving us three full days to explore this fascinating city. In this account, I’ll cover where we stayed, what we did, and offer some recommendations for anyone considering a visit to Gdańsk.

Our stay

We opted for an Airbnb in the charming area of Długie Ogrody. The location was perfect, providing easy access to all the main attractions while offering a peaceful retreat from the bustling city center. Our Airbnb was cozy and well-equipped, making it a comfortable home base for our adventures.

1) Breakfast on the beach

We started our day with a tranquil breakfast at Plaza Stogi. This beautiful beach was the perfect spot to relax and soak in the morning sun. We grabbed some local goodies from a nearby store  and enjoyed our meal with the sound of the waves. After breakfast, we took a refreshing swim in the sea. It was the perfect way to start our day. We even built a sand castle 🏰.

3) Dinner at Mandu

As the day wound down, we made our way to Mandu for an unforgettable dinner. Known for its pierogi, Mandu offered a variety of these delicious dumplings. Traditional fillings like potato and cheese were always a hit, but for a unique twist, we tried their extraordinary varieties like the Oreo pierogi. The combination of savory and sweet flavors left a lasting impression.
