With a dragon legend and UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kraków is full of surprises. This city's warmth with captivate you and draw you in. Below, you will find a list of places to visit while in Kraków.

According to the locals I spoke with, the months of April-June and September-October are the best time to be here. If you wait too long and stay in July-August, you will be experiencing the blistering heat and crowds of Kraków, and if you go between December-February, then you will be freezing. However, the Christmas markets are charming and might be worth the cold.

To get the most out of Kraków and surrounding areas, I would recommend a stay of at least 3-4 days. That will allow you to experience this city fully and slowly. 

Europe is known for its public transportation, and Kraków is no different. There are multiple options, but you might find the free one is best.

- 👣 Walking: The cheapest, and often most rewarding, form of transportation out there! In many instances, this option takes no more than 15 minutes to reach a destination. It's easy to hit that 10,000-step goal here!

- 🚲 Bicycle / Scooter Rental: Perhaps you want to take in all the sights, but walking isn't the answer. You will find bike and scooter rentals almost anywhere. Lime and Wavelo are some of the most popular ones lying around, ready for you to use.

- 🚍 MPK Bus: Part of the MPK Kraków system, tap-and-go or buy a ticket, valid for all MPK modes of transportation. This is ideal for going to outlying areas, such as the Wieliczka Salt Mine.

- 🚋 MPK Tram: Also part of the MPK public transportation system, tap-and-go or buy a ticket, valid for all MPK modes of transport. This is ideal for moving between city districts.

- 🚌 Bus: Different from the city buses, you can use companies like Flixbus to get to surrounding areas.

- 🚊 Train: Kraków Główny Railway Station is conveniently located in the Old Town to connect you to neighboring cities or countries. You can download the phone apps and easily purchase your ticket on your phone, and your QR-code can be shown when prompted.
