Gdansk Letnica, Poland

According to the locals I spoke with, the months of May-September and December are the best times to be here. If you wait too long and stay in January-March, you will experience cold and short days with limited outdoor activities.

To get the most out of Gdańsk and surrounding areas, I would recommend a stay of at least 4 days. That will allow you to experience this region fully and slowly. 

Europe is known for its public transportation, and Gdańsk is no different. Whether you're staying in town, going for a day trip, or wanting to be on the water, Gdańsk has it all.

- 👣 Walking: The cheapest, and often most rewarding, form of transportation out there! It's easy to hit that 10,000-step goal here!

- 🚲 Bicycle / Scooter Rental: Perhaps you want to take in all the sights, but walking isn't the answer. You will find bike and scooter rentals almost anywhere. Mevo is the most popular one lying around, ready for you to use.

- 🚇 SKM Train: Standing for "Szybka Kolej Miejska", this train system connects the three "Tricity" cities, including Gdynia and Sopot, together with Gdańsk. You can purchase single tickets for under 3€.

- 🚍 ZTM Bus: Part of the ZTM Gdańsk system, tap-and-go or buy a ticket, valid for all ZTM modes of transportation. Get a single-journey ticket or a variety pass for under 3€.

- 🚤 Ferry / Boat Tour: During the warmer months, you can hire a ferry or boat tour for a scenic view of the city down the Motława River.

- 🚊 Train: Whether you are looking to travel to surrounding cities in Polska or travel internationally, there are plenty of train stations for you. Gdańsk Główny is the largest station with the most options of PKP trains. You can download the phone apps and easily purchase your ticket on your phone, and your QR-code can be shown when prompted.

- 🚕 Taxi: One of the more expensive types of transportation, but still an option. Typically, Uber and Bolt are used, although you can hail some down in the street for a higher price.
