Planning a trip on your own can be overwhelming, right? That's where I come in. We'll hop on a call together, and you can pick my brain about anything and everything travel related. Having visited 55 countries, people always ask me what place is my favorite? Well, it depends. A better question, I think is where would I like to visit for the first time again? Probably, Ankgor Wat or Machu Picchu or the Whitsundays. But, I loved living in Italy, Portugal and Thailand. Being in one places for months or a year allows you to really get to be a traveler and not a visitor. What places would I revisit - all of them! Earth is a big place, there’s so much to see. And I would certainly do things differently now with a family and a 4 year old than I did when I was nomading. What traps for the unwary have I learned? - Visa, scrambling to find WiFi that works at the airport because I didn’t pay a fee to enter Argentina - Visa, having a typo on my birthdate and almost being denied enter - 6 month experiation period for passports - literally had an airline agent in a lounge tear up my boarding pass in front of me

Welcome to the Atlantic side ! Portugal is located in the south of France, next to Spain, and on the contrary is open to the Atlantic ocean and not the Mediterranean sea! The beaches are still beautiful, and cities like Porto or Lisbon have the advantage of being "inside" the country. They both have an inside sea, for city trips, but also a part located at the ocean for more "beachy" holidays. Then again, the most beautiful beaches would be in the south, in the Algarve region :)

A full 3 day trip my wife and I did with two other couples, 6 people total. We walk most everywhere, about 10 miles a day. We traveled there in March 2020 (crazy story as the world shut down because of COVID while we were on our flight there) and April 2024. Oh Porto 🤍 The brilliant weather, stunning architecture and azulejo tiles, vibrant colours, amazing food, beautiful views…it’s all so good. I just loved this city and can’t wait to visit again soon. Especially for more port and pastel de natas 😍 These are some spots and activities that I'd recommend - and others I ran out of time to try but am so keen to do one day!
