THE DAY-BY-DAY GUIDE TO A PERFECT WEEK IN ROME đŽđš
I've been fortunate enough to visit Rome multiple times and even more fortunate to have been guided by true Italian friends. Here I take all that I've learned from those travels and distill it into one perfect week.
This itinerary is great whether you've been to Rome before or are returning and hoping to explore some new spots. You'll visit classics like the Colosseum and the Vatican (where I still find something new to drop my jaw every time I go) as well as more underrated places that most tourists mistakenly skip in a rush to see other parts of Italy.
With that in mind, you'll notice this itinerary is a full 7 days. I see this as the minimum to truly see Rome. Many people only spend 2-3 days here, and I completely understand. Europe is expensive and you want to make the most of your trip. If that's you, this itinerary can still help - just pick your favorite days. Or, check out the 3-day itinerary I've created and linked below. But, I think you'll find that even a full 7 days barely scratches the surface of the Eternal City, and you'll be itching to come back to see (and eat) everything Rome has to offer!

With the ever-growing list of viral restaurants that attract hordes of tourists, choosing where to eat in Rome can be daunting. With many places amassing tens of thousands of reviews, we've tried to help differentiate between those that live up to the hype and those that donât, focusing on the Trastevere and Old Town/Colosseo neighborhoods.

To all the foodies out there, this guide is for you!
Here, you will find a list of all the MUST-TRY street foods in Rome and the best places to enjoy them.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: I believe it is only fair that you know this guide features carefully selected places, many of which may not be the most famous, Instagrammable, or viral spots. However, what truly makes them extraordinary is the tastiness and high quality of the products, but most importantly, the passion and traditions that the owners put into them. I have personally tried all them, both alone and with some of my clients during tours, and I must say that every taste has left everyone amazed.
Furthermore, the most delightful aspect is that standing in line beside you, you will find locals, true Romans from Rome, who come here to relish in the authentic Roman culinary tradition.

Let's explore the Eternal City together over three days. Whether you're into history, art, or delicious food, this easy-to-follow itinerary will help you experience the best of Rome.
Here's a tip right from the start: practice your patience. Rome is crowded with tourists. I initially thought June would be less busy since people usually head to the seaside, but I was wrong. So, prepare to wait for restaurants (most of them don't take reservations), museums, and churches.

YES Rome's Colosseum, Sistine Chapel and Pantheon undoubtedly impress with their grandeur and magnificence HOWEVER, Rome has many hidden gems beyond the typical tourist attractions that will allow you to discover lesser-known, yet equally fascinating, attractions.
Stepping away from the beaten path will grant you a chance to savor the city's authentic atmosphere and experience a different side of it, free from the bustling crowds, tour groups and crazy tourists that usually dominate the major sites.
Here in this guide, as a local living in Italy, Iâve shared with you a list of my favorite unconventional and captivating experiences to indulge in while in Rome. For any questions or further information don't hesitate to contact me here or on my personal email: meggybianchini@gmail.com
