How to spend a whole day in Rome with just €20, including 4 meals and 20 attractions to visit.
If visiting during the summer, please be wary of the heat and take plenty of water breaks, making use of the hundreds of drinking water fountains around the city.

You’re going to start the day off with the breakfast of champions, maritozzo and a coffee from Regoli, total €4.70.

A historic pastry shop serving up the most incredible Italian pastries.
Regoli is an iconic pastry shop in Rome, and one of the best in town.
Here you will be able to find a whole range of Italian pastries, cakes and other sweet delicacies.
I highly recommend you get their maritozzo, a Roman classics sweet bun filled with whipped cream, as theirs is arguably the best in Rome.
Make sure to get in early as during the day it can get quite hectic and maritozzi finish like no one's business.

You’re then going to take a stroll down to Monti, to visit the beautiful Chiesa di Santa Maria ai Monti.

A titular church located in the Rione Monti, dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. It was built in 1580 by Giacomo della Porta ordered by Pope Gregory XIII. A small church inspired to the Chiesa del Gesu’, home to various prestigious works.

I've previously worked as a chef for almost 8 years, including 4 of these in a Michelin recognised Italian restaurant.
A few years ago I decided to move back home, as I felt it was the right place for me and where I wanted to be long-term. I now work as a freelance translator.
Ever since I came back, I immersed myself in Rome's culinary delights to expand my already significant food & beverage repertoire.
