The city is centered around a medieval castle and is host to numerous gothic churches, beautiful canals and blooming side streets. Of all the places I have visited in Europe, this one is my favorite. Tunisia is definitely underrated. The top three churches Helsinki is famous for is the Helsinki Cathedral, the Uspenski Cathedral and the Rock Church, however there is a wonderful variety of different styles and denominations which cater to the historic populations of Helsinki. This guide will help you locate and discover the top churches in Helsinki and as a bonus, I've added the main Synagogue and Islamic Center at the end. All of these recommendations are in the city center or within a 3km radius. All can be visited on foot and public transport. During the summer season (May to August), there is a surcharge to enter some of the main churches and some visits need to be coordinated with the temple's authorities as they are not open to the public outside of worship hours. It is rumored there will be a 'church pass' offered to those who wish to visit multiple churches, however this has yet to be confirmed so watch this space!

My partner has been visiting Nantucket for the better part of two decades. The best word to describe the island - in her eyes - is "salty". You're never more than 5 miles from the ocean. In the summer, the sea air is impossible to miss. I recently got to visit Nantucket for its annual Christmas Stroll - a festive weekend in December where the entire island reopens for a weekend full of holiday cheer. It's a little less salty in the winter, but just as quaint and charming. The town of Nantucket with its cobblestone streets and historic buildings are adorned with Christmas trees and garland and lights. Truly a wonderful sight! The beautiful Spanish island of Mallorca is an incredibly popular beach destination, especially in the summer. So much so, that is sadly suffering from the consequences of overtourism. Earlier this year, thousands of locals demonstrated in Mallorca against the negative impacts of overtourism; incresed rental prices, overcrowded beaches, loss of quality of life & a drop in wages. So is it still possible to visit in a sustainable way?
