Eating my way through Mexico City was my favorite thing to do in the 9 months that I lived there, and I took meticulous notes. These places not only wow in food, but in atmosphere - you eat with your eyes, too, right? Here I share with you the standouts, the must visits, and the dishes I still think about to this day.
Important sidenote! There's a good selection of contemporary Asian & international cuisine included. This is not a taco or mexican restaurant guide but rather the buzz-worthy hotspots that I've tried and would recommend to my inner circle. I've taken my time to recount what stands out to me about each place - including what dishes I'd order again.
Buen provecho!
Included with this guide:
✨ My personal notes about each restaurant, including must-try dishes
✨ An interactive map showing the locations
✨ Dining recommendations in the neighborhoods of Condesa, Roma Norte, Juarez & Colonia Cuauhtémoc

Alfajores are one of my favorite sweets. With a delicious, crumbly cookie filled with either dulce de leche or manejar - both types of caramel - no coffee break in South America is complete without an alfajor. While the experts debate what country has the best (or oldest) alfajor, the two countries that always float to the top are Peru and Argentina. So on a recent trip to Peru, my goal was to have as many alfajores as I could and to make a ranking.
In my trip I visited Lima, Arequipa, Cusco, Aguas Calientes, and Ollantaytambo. I was stunned at just how good the cookies were - everywhere. Did I eat every alfajor in the country? No, but I'll still self declare myself an expert. So here are the 5 favorite

In the Philippines' Bicol Region, there is a province called Albay. It is well recognised for its natural wonders including the Mayon Volcano, which is one of the Philippines' most active volcanoes and known for its perfect conical shape. In addition, the province is also known for its hot food, which uses chili peppers in a number of its recipes. There's more to Albay, waiting to be discovered.

The Sinai seems like a scary place. There are lots of security checkpoints. There are rules on needing police escorts for certain parts. Travel advisories are up for large swaths of both the Northern and Southern Sinai. So let's avoid the Sinai right?
Not so fast. Yes the Sinai has some weird rules and quirks in terms of getting around. However, the Sinai is an extremely unique area. Hiking, snorkeling, cultural activities, historical monuments, nightlife - you can expect to find all of these in the Sinai. It's a far cry from Cairo, Luxor, or Alexandria, maybe you could even say relaxing. And with a location adjacent to Eilat, Israel, and Aqaba, Jordan, it's a melange of Egyptian craziness with Levantine comfort.
So how should you spend your time in the Sinai? Great question, and I'm here to answer that!

An extra-full guide on where to wine&dine in central London and beyond (no matter the 💷: from low budgets to gold/platinum card holders 😄). And the list is big because…this is the most exhilarating city I have ever visited! I bet you will find your favorites among mine!
Highlights:
🫖 English breakfast tea - it is actually a blend of various kinds of black tea; is meant to be had with milk and sugar although it can be served without either.
🥓 Full English Breakfast - this usually includes: bacon, sausages, eggs, baked beans, toast, mushrooms, tomatoes, hash browns and black puddings.
🥧 British Pies - from fish to cheese and onion to minced beef or steak, savory pies are a British tradition that’s been around for centuries. By far, some of the most popular pies are the Shepherd’s Pie/Cottage Pie and the British Mushroom and Chicken Pie.
🐟 Fish & chips - this dish is a must try whilst you are in the UK; no matter where you are, you’ll be able to find a delicious plate of fish and chips.
