We love visiting & staying in North Carolina - in 2021 we found a place called Indigo Nature Retreat in Old Fort, North Carolina, and have been back many times since. I’m the fall of 2022, we are hosting a Retreat at Indigo & can’t wait to share some of our favorites with others. Situated off 1-40, Old Fort is a great place to rest for a bit - to have a coffee, chat with the locals, or catch a hike or quick bike ride.

A part of our elemental nature means moving with Mother Nature. While living in a van without temperature control for heat, it was natural for us to move north - we found ourselves in Northern Michigan.
Michigan was a dream weather-wise and we also found a sense of belonging with old friends, new friends, family, and ourselves. We visited so many beautiful local establishments & found new places for running & cycling adventures.
Check out our top recommendations & favorite spots for each city we made our way through. Share your recommendations for our next visit if you have them, we'll add them to our ever-growing list!

Welcome to Rome! I know this city can be overwhelming, so I'm here to help! I've divided this guide in various sections (neighbourhood names). These are my favorite places to eat and drink in the Eternal City
Please remember it is always best to make reservations while in Rome. If you show up to a restaurant and they are fully booked, they most likely send you away, there is no concept of waiting in line for the next table to free up in Rome (there are some exceptions like most pizza places)
Tipping in restaurants is not expected, but it is always very much appreciated! Please remember that tips can only be left in cash so make sure to always have some smaller pieces on hand (it is also preferred when paying for small things like a coffee or water bottle in a bar)

The 'stiletto heel' of the boot, Puglia has slowly become one of the (if not the most) hottest destinations in Italy. I grew up spending my summers and major holidays here, and it's been an absolute pleasure seeing this special region blossom into one of the most requested holiday destinations in Italy. For years it was simply the place where locals came to lay in the sunny beaches for the months of July and August, but now has activities, restaurants and beach clubs open year-round. It's HUGE, so keep in mind it will probably take you a few trips to the region to see most of it. My advice is to not try and see it all in one try, but instead pick one or two areas and slowly explore (and enjoy) them. Here are my favorite places to eat in Puglia
