Venice 1-Day Itinerary (Time required: 2 hours 30 minutes)
Walk to Campo San Luca, Campo Manin, Campo Santo Stefano until you reach and cross the Accademia bridge (from which you can enjoy one of the best views of the city!), and then head to Zattere. Before, make sure you stop at Cantinon Bottegon Da Schiavi to have some more “cicheti” and drink a glass of wine outdoors on the San Trovaso bridge. You can then turn left and stroll on the Zattere as far as Punta della Dogana (best place for taking pics!). After that, you can make your way to Salute Church and walk for 5 min. After Campo San Gregorio turn right and hop on a gondola (Traghetto) to cross the Grand Canal. This will allow you to enjoy the pleasures of a gondola ride without having to pay ~80 euro for the full tour.
Sunset place: Head to San Marco Square and walk past it to witness the best vies at sunset from Riva dei Sette Martiri on the bridge opposite Hotel Ca’ Formenta (a 10-min walk from San Marco Square).
Dinner and Night
In Via Garibaldi you can find many bar for a glass of wine, a beer, or a Venetian “Spritz” as well as a favorite restaurant, Ai Nevodi. For more traditional Venetian food, Al Volto (booking recommended) is a couple of minutes from Rialto bridge, Ai Promessi Sposi near Campo Santi Apostili or Al Portego. A night stroll in San Marco Square after dinner is lovely, after the crowds of tourists have left. Second day (Burano, Torcello and Murano Islands) Take a day trip: first, to Murano island to see how the world-famours glass is made; Next, Burano island where you will find houses painted in the most disparate colors; Then Torcello, make sure not to miss going up in the tower of the church.
