Alsace is the eastern region of France that shares a border with Germany! It is filled with some of the cutest fairytale villages in the entire country! This is where you NEED to visit during the holiday season - it is known for its Christmas Markets! In this guide, you can find some of my favourite places to visit in the region! It's just as enchanting in the summer as it is in the winter so these tips can be adapted to all seasons! This itinerary outlines nine days of continuous adventure on the North Island of New Zealand. Spend a couple days exploring Auckland and the nearby islands, head out west for some black sand beaches and secret coves, hit up some insane hiking trails, and head to the east coast for some stunning beaches that draw the local crowds all summer. This itinerary is partially in hotels, but most of it is geared towards campervanning or rooftop tenting it through the North Island (that's what we did & LOVED it). It also includes a few hours of driving a day, and quite a few hiking opportunities (of course these can be substituted for other activities in the area). If you don't want to drive as much you could always spread the activities over more days, or skip your least favourite part to spend more time in the other areas ... but good luck trying to choose! Each day outlines activities to fill your day, how much driving, what to eat, where to stay, and other suggestions / information. Alba is a popular town, and for really good reasons and absolutely worth a visit especially if you time it well you can indulge in some of the best Italian produce and wine all at the same time namely the International Truffle Festival (Nov and into the first week of Dec) Of one of the many street wine festivals they hold throughout the year. So basically this town always celebrates some sort and it's usually food and booze-related. It's home to some of the best Italian red wines, including the legendary Barolos and Barbarescos. Iceland is an incredible country, its dramatic landscapes and tourist infrastructure make it a must visit destination with appeal for all ages. I coordinated and lead an adventure tour here recently and it is honestly one of the most beautiful and magical destinations I have ever been to. In this guide I share my top recommendations for Icelandic accommodation, divided into budget categories. If you only have a few days and aren't planning to move around much further than the golden circle, or if you won't have access to your own car, my advice would be to stay in Reykjavik for most of your nights and do day trip tours with a stay somewhere special out in the countryside for 1 or 2 nights as a treat. Iceland doesn't have good public transport links outside of the capital so you really have two options, book onto a tour or it's one of the best places to do a self drive adventure. (If you're planning for Winter, don't let the ice worry you- opt for an SUV and contact the rental place in advance to ask for studs on your tyres)

The Sahara is mystical, enchanting, and endless. And getting there is half the fun. While you might get your camel fix in the Agafay Desert near Marrakesh, the big and grand desert is a solid 10 hour drive away. And while it is easiest to get a guide to help, it is possible to do it (or at least part of it) on your own. Just make sure you bring four-wheel drive and a satellite GPS to get to your camp.
