Do you need more information for your trip to Alsace?
Airport:Ā
-AĆ©roport de Strasbourg
-There is no international airport in Strasbourg - you will most likely land in Paris and take a connecting flight.Ā
Train:Ā
-You can also take the train from Paris, this typically takes around 2 hours. You can look for tickets on the SNCF, Trainline, Ouigo or Omio.Ā
How to get around the region:Ā
-Most of the beauty of Alsace is found in the small towns. It's important to note that in order to do this RENTING A CAR is the best way to get around. There are no train stations in the small towns. The only train stations can be found in Strasbourg and Colmar.Ā
-For my most recent road trips we have been using rentalcars.com and have been loving it - we have found the best deals on here! (This is an affiliate link)Ā
-Another popular way is bike rental since you will be riding through the vineyards to get from town to town.Ā
Getting to/from the airport:Ā
-There is a shuttle that will take you from the Strasbourg airport directly into the city centre within 8 minutes.Ā
-You can buy tickets at the train station or at the airport at the ticket machines.Ā
