425€ for 5 days in the Maldives? How is it possible? Welcome to this budget guide, destination Maldives. Here we try to break down how to organise an 5 days all inclusive holiday to the Maldives for the same price of 1 single night in a resort. Our budget for the entire trip, including flights, transport accommodation and food was: 425€. 600€ if departing from Italy. Flight Abu Dhabi - Male (both way): 162€ Taxi: 3€ Housing (4 nights): 107€ Boats (2, one speed one slow): 50€ Food (10 meals): 95€ Sunscreen: 8€ Make sure to note that we departed from Abu Dhabi, which has the cheapest flight to Male (capital of the Maldives). Departing from other cities (ex. Roma) will require a transfer, so budget an extra 175€. (Total 600€). This once sleepy coastal village is now on of the most popular places to be seen on Lanzarote with its 6km long beach, surfy vibe and feet in sand bars and restaurants , As you drive down towards Famara it will take your breath away. This area is the Parque Natural Archipielago Chinijo and is protected land. No more building can be done on this land as it would affect the flow of sand across the island to to the other Canary islands and in doing so affect the flora and fauna. In the distance you can see the 3 islands off of the north of Lanzarote; La Graciosa, Montana Clara and Alegranza. Rising on the right are the Riscos de Famara with the beach of Famara nestling below. The views are simply stunning.

My partner has been visiting Nantucket for the better part of two decades. The best word to describe the island - in her eyes - is "salty". You're never more than 5 miles from the ocean. In the summer, the sea air is impossible to miss. I recently got to visit Nantucket for its annual Christmas Stroll - a festive weekend in December where the entire island reopens for a weekend full of holiday cheer. It's a little less salty in the winter, but just as quaint and charming. The town of Nantucket with its cobblestone streets and historic buildings are adorned with Christmas trees and garland and lights. Truly a wonderful sight! The beautiful Spanish island of Mallorca is an incredibly popular beach destination, especially in the summer. So much so, that is sadly suffering from the consequences of overtourism. Earlier this year, thousands of locals demonstrated in Mallorca against the negative impacts of overtourism; incresed rental prices, overcrowded beaches, loss of quality of life & a drop in wages. So is it still possible to visit in a sustainable way? Well, that's what I am going to try and convince you in this guide, so that if you do choose to visit Mallorca, that you can do so in a way that will hopefully not be deterimental to the locals living there.

Live your paradise Island DREAMS on Isla Holbox off the coast of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsular. Pronounced "Hol-bosh", Holbox is a a gorgeous escape from the garish touristic spots of Cancun and Playa Del Carmen, this cute little island offers water based activities that will take your breath away along side delicious eateries and wellness activities! This is my personal no.1 coastal destination in the whole of the Yucatan State. - Snorkel with whale sharks in the morning, soak up the sun in the afternoon, eat delicious cuisine with sea views at sunset, and swim through bioluminescent waters in the evening, enjoy live local music at night, then don't forget to dance on the beach and have a midnight swim! The easiest way to reach Holbox Island is by public ADO bus, leaving from the main central station in Cancun, or if you're coming from the other side, Merida. You take the bus to the port of Chiquilá, then it's a short and enjoyable 25 minute ferry ride to paradise (people have been known to spot dolphins on the way so keep a look out!). Alternatively, you can arrange a shared shuttle or taxi transfer from Cancun to the port, or hire a car. The perfect get-away from Cancun, I 100% recommend Holbox above Isla Mujeres (an island opposite Cancun)... Holbox is more authentic and less like Cancun (which is now a tourist trap and very Americanised...) read on to find out more about why I think Holbox is amazing, and all my best recommendations and tips on where to stay, what to do and where to eat, for an INCREDIBLE time there!!
