This once sleepy coastal village is now on of the most popular places to be seen on Lanzarote with its 6km long beach, surfy vibe and feet in sand bars and restaurants , As you drive down towards Famara it will take your breath away. This area is the Parque Natural Archipielago Chinijo and is protected land. No more building can be done on this land as it would affect the flow of sand across the island to to the other Canary islands and in doing so affect the flora and fauna. In the distance you can see the 3 islands off of the north of Lanzarote; La Graciosa, Montana Clara and Alegranza. Rising on the right are the Riscos de Famara with the beach of Famara nestling below. The views are simply stunning.
