🇮🇹 Have the best day in Capri, Amalfi Coast

Capri is just as beautiful as they say it is. From incredible water, the iconic Blue Grotto, and some of the best food I've tried on the coast, it's a must-see. It's also crowded and a little chaotic if you don't know how to organize your day! This guide has everything you need to maximize a day in Capri! From my favorite spots to logistical shortcuts, this makes it easy to see the best of the island. In this guide, you’ll get: - the major sights with notes on what you’re seeing and if they need advanced booking - an interactive map to help navigate you to each spot - the four major parts of the island and how to prioritize them - explanation of transportation options on the island - 4 restaurants and 1 gelato spot - my favorite private boat company (for a reasonable price!) - 2 shops for locally made products, including custom Capri sandals - logistical sites you’ll need (ferry ticket counter, transportation pickup spots) - 2 beach clubs

If you're headed to the Amalfi Coast, Capri is easy as a must-see day trip! It's not hard to get there, but you need to plan a bit to make it the best possible experience.

Logistics

I highly recommend pre-reserving your ferry tickets! Tickets to get to Capri especially - there are only a few ferries each hour, and although they're big boats, they fill up!

Additionally, give yourself enough time to physically pick up your tickets at the ferry dock. Even with a reservation, you'll have to wait in line with your online confirmation to get paper tickets.

Note that the last ferries are usually around 7pm, so you can't stay all evening if you don't plan to sleep on the island!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Amateur Italian, travel advisor, and adventurous eater! I’m a travel creative living in small town northern Italy, and I've been planning travel for over 15 years. I've lived on three continents and visited over 40 countries, so I'm passionate about helping travelers experience the best of a location, no matter where! I love both/and travel: I want to see the big sights AND the local hangouts, the big cities AND the small towns. I’d love to help you do it too! If you’re going to Rome for the first time, you don’t need me to tell you to see the Colosseum. But you might want me to tell you if it’s better as a guided tour or on your own, what add-on’s are worth the money, and what are the extra secret things your ticket can get you! My favorite part of travel is eating well: finding the local haunts, tasting a new wine, and trying the local dishes. Amazing food doesn't have to be expensive: sometimes the best of a place is in the street food! But if it is a splurge, I'll make sure it's worth every penny. I'd love to work with you to create the trip of your dreams!
