Hello fellow traveler! Thank you for choosing my shop to help you have an amazing trip to Sydney. I had the pleasure of living only 2.5 hours away from Sydney when I lived in Australia. It was my first trip when I moved out there and I continued to take weekend trips here constantly. It is one of my favorite cities and it holds a special place in my heart. This board is a list of all my recommendations for your trip to this stunning city! It includes tips on transportation, 4 spots to sleep, 13 things to do, 10 spots to eat, and 12 options to drink and party. If you would like even more details about Australia, I recommend listening to episode 1 of Ma I’m Fine. I plan on traveling back to Sydney at the beginning of 2024 so since you get this guide for life you will get access to all of my new updates! You can email me any feedback regarding my itinerary or if you want to connect! Please be safe on your travels and tag Ma I'm Fine in all your adventures! When you purchase this itinerary, you are supporting Ma I'm Fine and Australia's Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife. Thank you for your love and support! We do love a good local market! Being 'in town' on the right day to catch market day is crucial - sometimes they're daily (or nightly!), some are on Saturdays or Sundays, and some are only on every second weekend or so. So do plan ahead - and don't miss out! We love wandering around and checking out the local products and wares - especially the food!! We're pretty biased and think Salamanca Market in Lutruwita/Tasmania is the best market in the world! Yesssss we know Barcelona's La Rambla Market is pretty darn impressive and we've been to some epic markets in Asia and South America too, but Nipaluna/Hobart packs well above its weight with an amazing local arts, craft and artisan scene, very talented buskers and of course the food is amazing! You can also pick up great handmade souvenirs as well as locally grown fruit, veg and other produce. Australia's markets are not to be missed. Wander through the stalls and rub shoulders with locals and tourists alike. And, of course, in Australia markets are safe (no pick pockets!), are generally accessible (check the website links below for more!) and many are committed to sustainability with biodegradable, recycled or reusable packaging and no single-use plastics in sight. Feel good by supporting local businesses and artists. And if you do feel the need to buy souvenirs - check the labelling and make sure you are buying locally made products whenever you can. OK now we're craving a papaya salad at sunset at Mindil Market in Darwin!!
