If you're looking to explore a beautiful part of the city with little to no tourists, keen to see some of the biggest and most expensive homes that London has to offer, and/or are interested in soaking in some literary history than this self-guided walking tour is for you.
Hampstead Village is an absolutely lovely area in North London to leisurely explore - especially in the spring or summer when all the trees are in bloom.

London is one of the most beautiful cities to walk around and explore. And funnily enough, a lot of the TOP attractions in London are relatively close to each other - you just need to really plan your itinerary!
And that is what I've done for you! I have personally done this walking tour over 6 times in 2 years. Whenever I had visitors, I found this was the perfect walking route to get people introduced to the city.
This walking tour will take you along the Thames River and into the city. You will come across:
๐ 5 important bridges
๐ 5 historic landmarks
โช๏ธ 3 well-known churches
๐ณ 3 parks and squares
๐๏ธ 2 shopping areas
๐คค 2 markets
๐จ 1 museum
+ some food and restaurant recommendations!
And what's great is that it's customizable to your interest - you can stop at anything that particularly interests you!
It is also very easy to break this itinerary into smaller chunks if you feel like you want to spend a bit more time in a certain area or if you are a bit limited in time! It is completely up to you!
Fun Fact: this walking tour was how I spent my first day EVER in London and my flatmate and I re-did the tour right before we left to move back home! It's safe to say that is a personal favourite of mine!

I have held firm for years - and still do - that East London has the best food and restaurants in the city! The dishes are inventive, the decor and atmosphere is always on point, and the value for money is quite a bit better compared to west and central London.
I've lived in East London for nearly 3 years and I've been to these spots once or many times. I love them and hope you do too ๐ All arranged by cuisine ๐ฝ๏ธ

Chinatown remains a hot tourist spot in London and there's a reason why. 1.5% of London's population are of Chinese ethnicity. Chinatown is always bustling with life and you will find most restaurant owners/staff of Chinese origin, making this a very authentic place to eat Chinese food. However, as it is limited to one main street, there have been many other amazing Chinese restaurants that have popped up.
Here's a list of my personal favourite Chinese restaurants in London. Follow @anneotherhuangryasian on Instagram for more food recs!

Have you ever wondered why there are so many Indian restaurants in London? India and the UK have a long and unique shared history. Today, 1.8 million people in the UK are of Indian descent, making London one of the largest worldwide hubs for Indian cuisine. Because of the long shared history, Indian cuisine in the UK is also uniquely British. For example, try the bacon naan roll at Dishoom. Below, are some of my personal favourites (Iโve been to all of them) which include both classic Indian cuisine as well as some more modern interpretations.

Possible controversial opinion: London really doesn't rain as much as others think it does ๐ Grey and clouds are the go-to weather forecast, and this makes being outside and exploring the city by foot absolutely doable.
But when it does rain, exploring a museum or gallery is a great way to still capitalise on a day out. There are SO many all over London and most of them are FREE - an incredible offering that is pretty unique to this city. And there's not much more quintessentially local than to get cosy in a nearby pub afterwards ๐ค
Check out this guide for a wide mix - from war museums to immersive art and photography exhibits!

There are few traditions more quintessentially British than the classic Sunday roast.
This meal is a must if you're in London on a Sunday - whether you're in a cute garden in the summer or bundled up in the winter.
And these are my favourites. The list is short because I keep going to them over and over ๐
