An itinerary for 7 Days in London

London is one of my personal favourite cities in the world. I might be biased because I lived there for 2 years but I honestly think everyone needs to experience it at least once (if not more!). Here I have put together for you all of my London guides from my favourite foodie finds to some of my favourite activities around the city! Also, at the end of the guide, you can find some helpful logistical information about London to make your visit even smoother!

London is such a huge city that travelers often don't know where to start. There is always something new to discover! As someone who has lived in London for 6 months while studying abroad, I am here to offer you an in depth guide of London with hidden gems! Most important of all, these spots are all FREE/affordable, so you can still experience the best of London without breaking your bank account! London is one of the most beautiful cities to walk around and explore. And funnily enough, a lot of the TOP attractions in London are relatively close to each other - you just need to really plan your itinerary! And that is what I've done for you! I have personally done this walking tour over 6 times in 2 years. Whenever I had visitors, I found this was the perfect walking route to get people introduced to the city. This walking tour will take you along the Thames River and into the city. You will come across: 🌉 5 important bridges 👑 5 historic landmarks ⛪️ 3 well-known churches 🌳 3 parks and squares 🛍️ 2 shopping areas 🤤 2 markets 🎨 1 museum + some food and restaurant recommendations! And what's great is that it's customizable to your interest - you can stop at anything that particularly interests you! It is also very easy to break this itinerary into smaller chunks if you feel like you want to spend a bit more time in a certain area or if you are a bit limited in time! It is completely up to you! Fun Fact: this walking tour was how I spent my first day EVER in London and my flatmate and I re-did the tour right before we left to move back home! I have held firm for years - and still do - that East London has the best food and restaurants in the city! The dishes are inventive, the decor and atmosphere is always on point, and the value for money is quite a bit better compared to west and central London. I've lived in East London for nearly 3 years and I've been to these spots once or many times. I love them and hope you do too 😊 All arranged by cuisine 🍽️

Chinatown remains a hot tourist spot in London and there's a reason why. 1.5% of London's population are of Chinese ethnicity. Chinatown is always bustling with life and you will find most restaurant owners/staff of Chinese origin, making this a very authentic place to eat Chinese food. This city has an absolutely thriving wine bar scene - particularly in East London. It’s one of my favourite kinds of places to go out with friends and has led to some of my favourite afternoons and evenings in this wonderful city in the last few years. Have you ever wondered why there are so many Indian restaurants in London? India and the UK have a long and unique shared history. Today, 1.8 million people in the UK are of Indian descent, making London one of the largest worldwide hubs for Indian cuisine. Because of the long shared history, Indian cuisine in the UK is also uniquely British. For example, try the bacon naan roll at Dishoom. Possible controversial opinion: London really doesn't rain as much as others think it does 😂 Grey and clouds are the go-to weather forecast, and this makes being outside and exploring the city by foot absolutely doable. But when it does rain, exploring a museum or gallery is a great way to still capitalise on a day out. There are SO many all over London and most of them are FREE - an incredible offering that is pretty unique to this city.
