Taking a trip to Shanghai? Shanghai is a huge city of over 24 million people so it can be daunting finding somewhere to eat as a vegan/vegetarian. I've taken that burden off your hands and selected my personal favourites and recommendations from friends.
While living in Shanghai from 2017 to 2021, I transitioned to Veganism. Everyone at home thought it would be impossible for me to be vegan or vegetarian in China but real Chinese food is very veggie forward and I was there during a boom in the plant-based food industry which made my life much easier.
So if you're making a trip to Shanghai, here's a list of my favourite Vegan and vegetarian friendly restaurants in the centre of the city and some further out. There are endless options in Shanghai, as one of the largest cities in the world, you'll never be bored or hungry.
*DISCLAIMER* Navigating China on Google Maps is very challenging as Google is not accessible in China so I recommend downloading Baidu maps. Apple maps works but is not 100% reliable with Chinese addresses. Most of the restaurants will be easy to find as they are properly labelled and registered on the map however some of the restaurants in this list are labelled differently to the real restaurant name so please READ the descriptions.

Hi!
I created a detailed 12-day itinerary to discover Madeira on a budgetfriendly way.
I travelled solo to Madeira in november 2022. Since I like to take my time to see things, meet new people and adventure I focus on following things:
1) Hostels, they are the best way to meet new people.
2) I love hiking so get ready for some beautiful hiking trails and wildcamping.
3) I use public transport, since this is a lot cheaper than renting a car. I give you advice on how to get there and how long it takes.
4) Tips and tricks on what to do and what not to. I recommend places I've been to myself but also places I heard great things about but didn't visit.
5) I love taking pictures so enjoy some travel pictures I took myself :)
I discovered beautiful places and fell in love with Madeira, so I hope you do too!

Over the past few years, Iceland has been getting more and more popular by tourists. Nicknamed the Land of Fire and Ice because of its many volcanoes and glaciers, there are endless opportunities of gorgeous natural wonders to explore. Over 60% of the people that live in Iceland, live in the capital city of Reykjavik.
If you are not renting a car to avoid the intimidation of the slippery roads during winter, all of the activities below can be done right in Reykjavik or by a tour with transfer. I’ve gone ahead and provided all the links you need for each tour that I have personally done myself just this year (2022). Have a wonderful time exploring Iceland. 🇮🇸

I first visited Iceland 3 years ago after getting an internship out of nowhere. And since then I been coming back year after year discovering the country more and falling in love even deeper.
Iceland is the crazy combination of fire and ice, pure nature, crazy landscape and unbelievably welcoming people. Friends and family always asked me for recommendations and like that, I eventually came to make this 4-day itinerary that I'd like to share with you. It's perfect if you are on a tight schedule but still want to make the most out of it
The itinerary is with renting a camper or a car in mind. If you want to travel to Iceland without a car check out my other guide on car-free and budget Iceland. You can do it solo or with as many people as you can fit in a car. You can either choose a budget version with camping or be more comfortable with apartments on the way. For example, if you were to travel with a friend the cheapest option would be renting 4x4 and camping with your own tents.
What you'll find in this guide
✔️Day-to-day itinerary
✔️Recommendation for car rental
✔️Recommendation for activities
✔️Budget estimate for different styles (camping, camper van, hostels, hotels)
✔️Accommodation recommendations for camping grounds
What you won't find in this guide
✖️Recommendations for restaurants (depends on your taste and budget)

Paros is an amazing Cycladic island (right next to Mykonos) with beautiful beaches, views, food and people.
It’s a great island for families, couples, a group of friends or even solo travelers.
I’ve been to it twice; once in 2021 and again in 2023. I have to say it has changed in 2-years, it’s more expensive and DEFINITELY busier.
Paros is a hot spot for both Greek and foreign tourists so I highly recommend a visit, and to book restaurants and boats in advance especially if you're a big group.

Lisbon is having a huge touristic growth in these last years, its weather, its monuments and the kindness of the people are only some of the reasons. Like any other big city there are many restaurants and food shops that can be touristic traps, selling overpriced food not so good.
That's why I decided to write this guide about my favorite city in Europe, using my experience and my taste of when I lived in Lisbon. I hope that this could be useful for you.

Visiting Cascais for one day or staying here for a while? Enjoy tasty food, good coffee and nice gems around former summer residence of the Portuguese Kings!
“Cascalenses” are happy people, really happy. Living in a seaside paradise, surrounded by the ocean and by greenery, helps keep the happiness levels way up.
I would start enjoying Cascais with its Marina - yachts, nice cafes, restaurants, city events, that suggest you to have a walk in the Marechal Carmona Park and enjoy lush gardens, ponds, fountains, streams, and pathways winding throughout its grounds creating an idyllic setting for guests looking for some peaceful respite from their travels or day-to-day lives

Sharing my personal list of 200 local spots in over 23 Kootenay communities! The Kootenay region is a haven for anyone seeking recreation and relaxation, who wants something a tad quieter than Banff and Canmore. Located just West of the Southern Canadian Rockies, the Kootenays have charming small towns, jaw-dropping landscapes, friendly people, a relaxed energy and more trails than one could possible explore in a lifetime.
As a local who lives here, and has travelled throughout the East and West Kootenays, there are so many incredible places/things/spots/shops in this region that deserve the same hype as their Alberta mountain town neighbours. The Kootenay's are just as cool (but quieter and more affordable)!
Included in my list of 200 favourite local Kootenay spots, you'll find..
- Local Coffee Shops
- Local Shops & Specialty Stores
- Local Accommodations
- Local Restaurants & Cafes
- Local activities, trails and must see's*
⭐️ = My #1 must see in the community!
Everywhere listed in the guide is a place I have personally been, or a place that I have on my list to visit as quickly as possible (but that I know other locals visit and love).
* All the trails, activities and recreation recommendations are beginner/family friendly, no multi-day or difficult hikes here. If you're really into a specific sport, this guide will really help shape the rest of your trip to the area outside of your hike/ride/skiing.
The Kootenays are a true paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, active families and nature lovers - an incredible destination to explore for all.

Romania is such a beautiful country and it offers so much: the Carpathian mountains, the Black Sea, the Danube Delta, vibrant cities, untouched countryside, castles, medieval cities, fortresses and the list could go on.
As someone who lived in Romania for 18 years and who now lives in NYC, I realized that most people only think of Bucharest and maybe Dracula's Castle when they think of Romania. And unfortunately that's not even scratching the surface of what this incredible country has to offer.
I created this guide to show you all the locations you need to explore so you can plan an epic trip to Romania. The guide is divided into the following categories:
- How to get to Romania
- How to travel inside Romania
- Cities
- Castles
- Lakes
- Scenic roads
- Waterfalls
- Salt mines
- Danube
- Scenic train rides
- Fortresses
- Churches and monasteries
- Roman and Dacian history
- Thermal water spas
- Black Sea resort towns
- Caves
- Other
I hope you visit Romania soon and enjoy its beauty!

Italians are famous for the Dolce Far Niente... sweet doing nothing. I always suggest people build in some time to sit and people watch. The Aperitivo is an art form in Italy and in Florence now, rooftop bars have become a thing. Many are in hotels. You will need a reservation, especially in high season.

Hello, fellow traveler!
Thank you for choosing my shop to help you have a fantastic trip to Iceland. This was stop 1 on my 8-weeks of fun backpacking trip, aka my quarter-life crisis trip. My best friend Ally and I did a 3-day road trip when we went backpacking for two months in 2023. We regretted not staying longer, so I have the road trip Ally, and I did, plus a 5-day for you because I recommend at least 5 days for Iceland. If you can swing it, I recommend doing the entire ring road. Iceland is f*** epic and wasn't as expensive as people made it out to be.
