My wife and I spent our honeymoon in Queenstown and it has now become somewhere we want to go back to again and again.
If you like food, wine and road trips on your holidays then Queenstown could be for you. Take a look as I share our favourite parts of our itinerary from the 12 days we spent in Queenstown.
Our trip balanced some indulgent luxuries with more affordable options, and struck a good balance between doing everything we wanted to do while still having some much needed post wedding down time.

Welcome to the Azores, a group of nine volcanic islands and an autonomous region of Portugal in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean! Often referred to as the "Hawaii of Europe," these islands will amaze you with their breath-taking scenery, adorable towns, and many unique activities. The Azores are still an off-the-beaten-path destination, so you'll enjoy a quiet and nature-filled escape without compromising on wonderful food and experiences.
This guide is a full five-day itinerary that will introduce you to the Green Island of the Azores, Sao Miguel - the easiest island to get to and around, and the largest and most populated of the nine. Five days is the perfect amount of time to see all sides of the island at a relaxed pace, with flexible time to do what you're most excited about - hiking, eating & drinking wine, swimming in hot springs, etc. The itinerary is based around having a car to drive around the island (and I include information about how to rent one!).
For each of these five days, I give you a full list of recommended activities based on the must-see sights and attractions of Sao Miguel, from exploring historic Ponta Delgada, getting to the best viewpoints over the island's iconic lakes and coasts, going whale watching, relaxing in natural thermal hotsprings, and having wonderful dining experiences. I've included options based on your interests (relaxation, nature, culture), so it's easy to pick just one if you want a slower pace, or scale up if you're the kind of traveler who wants to do it all. I also provide recommended restaurants, bars, and accommodations around the island where you'll be staying. There's truly something for everyone in Sao Miguel, and with this guide, you'll have the perfect foundation and ease of mind to make the trip your own!

There is so much to see and do in and around Venice, Italy that you could easily spend quite a few days here. This guide will detail MORE than enough things to do in 3-4 days in Venice and the surrounding islands. If you want MORE to do I've also spent time in the Prosecco Hills and the town of Treviso which are both about 45 minutes outside of Venice, feel free to reach out. I have also spent time in the nearby Dolomites so again, I am happy to consult with you about any of those areas as well!
This guide will detail why you should visit Venice.
-How to best arrive & exit Venice & how to get around while you are there.
-Include multiple options for where to stay, all of which I have personally stayed in and can recommend. From luxury (our honeymoon hotel), to airbnb with an incredible water door onto the canal, to a more budget friendly hotel that also has a stunning canal view. There are options for everyone in Venice.
-It will detail some amazing things to see, do, eat, and drink in Venice!
-It will also detail how to take small day trips to neighboring islands of Burano, Murano, Torcello, and Mazzorbo.
Why Venice?
Venice is such a fantastic and romantic city. Walking along or boating along the canals is an experience I truly believe you want to have in your lifetime. Once you get the hang of it, it definitely feels like a "little big city". You can walk to anything in Venice if you don't mind getting your steps in. You can also get around by water bus, water taxi, and the famous gondolas. You can eat SO well here and drink great wines at reasonable prices. There are countless things to do and see here and the islands off of Venice are equally as exciting and beautiful! This guide will detail tons of options for things to do in Venice. Most of them I have done, I will add a few things I haven't done that I find would be truly worthwhile. This way you can pick and choose what appeals best to you.
***I am also available for consultation about your Venice trip and would love to talk to you and work with you to create your perfect experience!

An Italian oasis located along the cliff side of Mediterranean Sea made up of five small towns all connected by a train. Well known for the beautiful views, rich history, delicious food & wine and stunning blue water to relax by. Make Cinque Terre your next weekend destination to explore.
Also if you are huge Disney Pixar fans, many of these towns helped inspire the movie Luca. Have fun exploring the cities to see what all you recognize from the movie.
Prior to visiting Cinque Terre, we didn't do much research into the area. We spent most of our time exploring and discovering along the way. This guide is to help share all of the information we gathered from our trip to help make your experience just as enjoyable.

Living in Italy over 15 years I have collected a shopping list across the country, this is a living list & will continue to be updated!
Random Tip: An often missed gem for shopping in Italy is the hardware store! The smaller the town, the bigger the selection- from everything wine making to various sizes of the classic moka (stovetop coffee pot) to massive cow bells and even gorgeous wool sweaters (especially in the alps)!

Do you love being outside and enjoy the laid back vibes of beautiful vineyards? Have you heard of the Frederick Wine Trail? Frederick, MD is a great place for a couples' or friends' getaway!
Save hours of time following my itinerary rather than planning. This trip was taken with my best friend in the month of May. And, no, we are not wine connoisseurs! We just love getting together once per year to frolic around in cute dresses.
