Last November, I went on a short solo trip to Taipei to catch a concert. 4 days feels neither too short nor too long. Most people wouldn't spend 4 whole days in just Taipei alone but there is so much to explore in this colourful city! If you have already been to Taipei a few times and are bored of the usual Imperial Palace and all, try out these off the beaten path finds.
You can use this guide as part of a longer trip or fast and furious if you're tight on time like me.

When you think of visiting Los Angeles beaches most people think of Santa Monica or Malibu, but those spots are so touristy and crowded they are NOT worth the hype!
Let me tell you about the best beaches near LA! Tucked away from the craziness of Los Angeles is the Southbay, which has iconic beaches that you really can’t miss! This guide tells you about our favorite spots in Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach Redondo Beach, and Palos Verdes! These little beach cities are gorgeous, have tons to do, and have a much more laid back vibe, that you would expect from a beach city! I’ve lived in Southbay for 15 years now and it is home to me! So I hope you enjoy these tips from a local! Please let me know if you have any questions or if there is any other questions you have about the area that I didn’t cover!
If you find this information helpful, any tips are appreciated for my work.

If you’re thinking of going to Iceland and including the Westfjords in your trip, this guide is made for you.
I have been living in the Westfjords for 2 years now and started working as a tourist guide alongside my studies.
I have traveled around the country and I still think that the Westfjords are among the most remote and beautiful places.
When people go to Iceland, they often come for 7 or 10 days around the ring road, and skip the Westfjords due to lack of time or because they have never heard of the Westfjords.
This small region of 7,000 inhabitants has so much to show you.
You do need a good car and a few days to visit it though, because roads are winding and are subject to the harsh climate (check veður.is)
Roads are often closed in the winter (check road.is), but it is an incredible time to go to the Westfjords to see snowy fjords and northern lights.
Get this guide if:
- you’re interested in visiting the Westfjords and spend a few days there
- you don’t mind driving a lot
- you want tips and recommendations from someone that lives there
- you want to know where to find the best hot pots in Iceland

People can sometimes be a little apprehensive about traveling with kids but I think exploring places with my children is always fun. Especially when it is international travel. Don't worry, I've got you covered. My husband, my ten year old twins, and I took a trip to London over the summer. (It was part of a more extensive 3 week UK tour) Below you will find a 7 day itinerary to explore London and keep it exciting for the little ones. Feel free to adjust the days depending on when you are going and what days you can get reservations for. I have also included links to each place as well as suggestions for hotels to make planning your trip easier.

There are many different ways to see the Emerald Isle from group travel, to train travel, bus travel, to self-drive or chauffer driven.
This itinerary focuses on some areas of the country that are "off the beaten path" and accessible by self-drive or hiring your own private driver.
We highlight some points of interest that are common to the country, but delve into some other spectacular sites, villages and places that don't normally show up on a "typical Irish getaway".
The itinerary is mapped out for a grand tour of the country, going to towns and villages that aren't always referenced in the normal brochures and is perfect for people who may have seen a lot of Ireland already and want to delve into smaller, niche areas; or for those who enjoy traveling off-the-beaten path and away from most of the general tourist destinations - getting into the heart of the country.

THE DAY-BY-DAY GUIDE TO A PERFECT WEEK IN ROME 🇮🇹
I've been fortunate enough to visit Rome multiple times and even more fortunate to have been guided by true Italian friends. Here I take all that I've learned from those travels and distill it into one perfect week.
This itinerary is great whether you've been to Rome before or are returning and hoping to explore some new spots. You'll visit classics like the Colosseum and the Vatican (where I still find something new to drop my jaw every time I go) as well as more underrated places that most tourists mistakenly skip in a rush to see other parts of Italy.
With that in mind, you'll notice this itinerary is a full 7 days. I see this as the minimum to truly see Rome. Many people only spend 2-3 days here, and I completely understand. Europe is expensive and you want to make the most of your trip. If that's you, this itinerary can still help - just pick your favorite days. Or, check out the 3-day itinerary I've created and linked below. But, I think you'll find that even a full 7 days barely scratches the surface of the Eternal City, and you'll be itching to come back to see (and eat) everything Rome has to offer!

New York City has some of the best museums in the country, and something that not a lot of people know, is that many of them are free, either all the time or on certain days! The great thing about visiting museums in NYC is that you can do it year-round & in any weather. This map includes museums in Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, & even one in Queens! It includes some of the classics (hello The Met!), as well as some you may have never heard of.
This is a living map of all of my favorite museums that you can enjoy for free. It includes museums in Manhattan, Brooklyn, & the Bronx. As I discover more, I will add them to this map & you'll automatically get the update!

Your ESSENTIAL guide to ELLA, Sri Lanka! Where to stay and what to do!
Ella is a picturesque town surrounded by mountains and valleys. It’s a hub for a wide range of activities in Sri Lanka and because of it’s higher elevation it remains warm but comfortable year round and offers some respite from the rest of the country which can get stiflingly hot in season, or see a lot of rain out of season. Almost every person I met travelling in Sri Lanka remarked Ella was their favourite place they visited during their trip and I have to say it was also mine.
The temperate weather makes Ella a great place to do lots of activities each day -you can go hiking, enjoy one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world, view Nine Arch Bridge, swim in waterfalls, go caving and swim in underground cave pools, take yoga classes, cooking classes, visit temples, and venture a little further for safaris.
It’s an ideal spring board between Colombo and the South/East Coast and Yala National Park.
The best way to arrive in Ella is by train from Kandy or Nuwara Eliya, but as one of the most beautiful train journey's in the world, you will need to book your train tickets in advance... my advice is to go for 2nd class- find out why, and how to book them in the "What To Do" section of this guide.
Read on for all my recommendations on where to stay, what to do and where to eat for a FABULOUS time in Ella!
