Stay - Affordable Hotel Options
Hotel Chelsea
@Discoveringyourcity
BUDGET OPTION - We were looking for an affordable hotel in Miami within walking distance to the beach and landed upon this gem! Not only is it less than 3 blocks from the beach, but you will be near plenty of attractions & restaurants! The rooms are unique and have the Boutique Hotel style & feel. BUT, the icing on the cake was the Cuban restaurant downstairs. We never had authentic Cuban food prior and theirs was still the best we've had since!!!
If you are traveling to MIA on a budget, we highly recommend booking for non-peek days/months. For example, we booked our stay for Monday-Thursday and landed a MUCH better deal than what it would have been to stay over the weekend.

Moxy Miami South Beach
@Discoveringyourcity
VALUE PACKED - The Moxy is a great hotel brand for young travelers that want more than the classic hotel feel. This location offers 6 on-site excellent dining & drinking venues, a rooftop pool with cabanas & day beds (we live for these)! Every spot in the Moxy is Insta-worthy and you will leave with plenty of awesome pictures and amazing memories!
$ SAVINGS: When you check-in to the Moxy you will receive a complimentary cocktail! Bicycles, Fitness Classes, a beach umbrella, and the Moxy Beach Club are all also included in your stay!
If you're going for a special event like a Birthday, Bachelorette, Anniversary, or Celebration we highly recommend you give the hotel a call and ask them to "hook up your room" they love to go in and decorate your room a little extra for your special stay!

Play - Things to Do & Nightlife
Muscle Beach South Beach
@Discoveringyourcity
FREE ACTIVITY - This place is a fun and free way to get your pump on before hitting the beach! They have everything from barbells & free weights to obstacle courses & still rings. We went here in the morning, 2-3 times during our visit. It gets a lot busier later in the day, but the crowd there is great!

Mango's Tropical Cafe South Beach
@Discoveringyourcity
NIGHTLIFE - Mango's has a very fun & vibrant environment and definitely did make us feel like we were in the tropics! They had excellent live performances on stage with ballroom dancing and plenty of other spots throughout to dance & hangout. They sell cuban cigars & other items as well and you are allowed to consume while at the club.
$ SAVING & HEADS UP - We had a great time here, but they do charge a cover at times and the drinks are pricey due to Miami's service charges. I would highly recommend pre-gaming before going out in Miami!
Note, this place is a restaurant during the day, so if you're going specifically for nightlife definitely wait until later in the night.

Wet Willie's
@Discoveringyourcity
SLUSHY COCKTAILS - Wet Willie's is right across from the beach and has the best frozen, slurpy like drinks that you can have made stronger (if you're really crazy)! We've never ate here so we can't speak for the food, but this is a great spot to cool down after a long day in the sun!
