Neapolitans believe their cuisine to be among the finest in the world. Parisian will disagree but they will never match the diversity of Naples and Amalfi cuisine made with the most outrageously good yet modest ingredients. Amalfi Coast itslef is an intriguing mix of sophistication and simplicity. A mere seagull's spit from yachts and five-star hotels, another more rural reality exists. Around precariously stacked hill villages, farmers still cultivate small plots of steeply terraced land, they make cheese and down on the coast, tiny fishing communities make a living from the sea. This is a living guide to the very best places to eat and drink when in Naples and Amalfi.
NB: As I travel back to the region I will continue to update this list. If you purchase today, you will receive all future updates.

The views here were everything I was hoping for. Beautiful blue water and scenic coast lines.
I absolutely under estimated how difficult, scary, but magically scenic driving through this part of Italy would be. If you are planning on driving, I would recommend the smallest car possible, planning your trips efficiently, and preparing to pay for parking.

Naples, Italy has so much to see and do. I like to divide my time here in walks, or little passeggiata, taking my time to soak in #mynapoli. This itinerary takes you from the Pignasecca market, to Piazza del Gesu Nuovo, Piazza San Domenico Maggiore, and finally a stroll through Via San Gregorio Armeno. Stops include 3 churches and 3 suggestions for pizzerias. Duration: 1/2 day.

Welcome to Napoli!
This is my favorite part of Italy. The warm southern air, the vibrant bustling city, and the salt of the sea take you to exquisite places like the Amalfi Coast, Ischia, and Capri.
Use Naples as a home base for your trip to Southern Italy. Eat your way through the city of Pizza, try the most authentic Mozzarella and learn about the secret underground city. Before taking off for an island adventure on Capri, a breathtaking road trip through the Amalfi Coast or a history lesson at Pompeii or Paestum.
Navigate effortlessly with our interactive map for an unforgettable Neapolitan experience.

There is a saying ‘See Naples, the die’. The German poet Goethe said this phrase when he visited the city and fell in love with its sun, its art, its people, and its vibe. I totally agree with Johan Wolfgang van Goethe. Naples is a city that I fall in love with over and repeatedly. And not just for its food. For its ART. 🖼️🎨
Yes, ART!
I created this guide for those of you who want to discover the treasures in the museums scattered throughout the town. Museums and treasures tucked away in churches, museums, and monumental complexes.
So let’s get started! 📒
The guide has my top picks of museums that are located in or near the city’s historic center. And of course, I also included some places to eat, because-well-we’re in Napoli! 😜

Ciao, guys!
What does this part of Naples have that is so exciting for me? It's spirit of community! If you are looking for a lively vibrant part of the city, then the Rione Sanità is definitely worth a visit while you are in Naples. It is a 'working class' part of Naples, and depending on the time of day, can be quite crowded with locals going about their daily routine. Routines that include shopping at many of the street markets where you can buy just about everything, stopping for a coffee, or just chatting in small groups at many of the several small piazzas located throughout the district.
A little history-in the 1500s, the area was a valley known for healthy air thanks to its location nestled between the hills and its close proximity to the catacombs where miracles were performed. The noble community began to settle down here and it was even the route for the royal family who would travel from the Reggia di Capodimonte to the center of Naples. Travelling the route was often tricky and problematic, so a bridge was built. You can imagine what eventually happened over time- the Rione Sanità no longer had the traffic that it had before and basically was cut off from the rest of the city.
What is the area like now? After years of having a terrible reputation, the citizens-particularly the younger generation have been working hard to bring that 'traffic' back.
📌This guide is designed for those of us who want to absorb the vibrancy of this slice of Napoli.
📌Those of us who want to visit the churches which are amazing museums full of spectacular artwork and architecture.
📌Those of us who want to visit catacombs and learn about Naples's rich history, traditions, and superstitions.
📌Those of us who want to walk the streets and observe some fantastic street art and murals.
📌Those of us who want to take advantage of some great examples of street food or sit down at some of the city's top pizzerias for lunch or dinner.
So- get your camera, a good pair of comfortable shoes and let's go!

Naples has so much to offer, especially if you love art and architecture...and food! 🕍🍝
When I arrived in Italy 30 years ago, some of my favorite things to do was grab my camera, stroll through Naples taking pictures, then grabbing something to eat. 📷🍕
This guide is designed for those of us who want to absorb in the beauty of Gothic and Baroque architecture and pair it with a fun place for a snack, breakfast, lunch or dinner.
A Gothic Architecture Foodie Tour!!
The Gothic period in Naples lasted from the 13th to the 15th century, and was followed by the Renaissance period. There are many churches tucked in side streets or in the corner of small piazzas are some perfect examples of Gothic architecture. 🕍
What about food?😜 Besides pizza, I've listed a few bars/cafes and restaurants that are pretty cool. Let's take a look!
