Dionysiou aeropagitou street is one of the most beautiful streets to walk with stunning Acropolis views. Start from Acropolis museum point and start walking towards Thisio and the ending point will be Monastiraki. Approximately 35 minutes walking

Amazing viewpoint to see Athens from above, especially during sunset. How to go: 1) Take a metro to Evaggelismos station and then 20 minutes walking (there are a lot of stairs) 2) Teleferic from Aristippou street (7 minutes walk from Evaggelismos metro station) 3) Taxi and then 5 minutes walk to the top of Lecabettus

Plaka is the most picturesque neighbourhood in Athens. Make sure to visit Mnisikleous street (you can search for Yiasemi cafe), Lisiou street and Andrianou street.

A hidden gem under Acropolis! It is one of the most unique neighbourhoods in Athens, lined with white-washed houses that resemble the design of the Cycladic architecture. Make sure to walk all the way up to the top of the village and catch a glimpse of Athens from above. It can be tricky to find Anafiotika village so you can see here instructions to go: after you cross Mnisikleous street you will reach Pryraneiou steeet. From here turn right to Stratonos, take on the stairs, keep walking and you will find Anafiotika village

Every hour of the day you can see the guards change, but on Sunday at 11am the big changing of the guards start

One of my favorite restaurants in Athens! Must try: -Greek Iberico with Pasta -Zucchini balls -Ekmek tsoureki for dessert

A hidden gem in Psirri area - higly recommended

This family-run restaurant serves traditional greek dishes with a modern slant in a former primary school. Must try: -salad with anthotiro from Crete -feta cheese donuts (lukumades) Reservations are recommended on weekends

Locals favorite for burgers and nachos! Very big portions of food. Must try: nachos (they are homemade and they are the best I have ever tried)

Amazing Italian restaurant, reservations in advance are recommended. Must try: mushroom risotto

Japanese pub in the heart of Athens. Must try: iberico katsu

One of the best souvlaki in Athens. Open only on weekdays until 18:00

Cannot leave Athens without trying greek gyros!

All time favorite! If you have a sweet tooth, make sure to visit this delightful place. Most popular desert: “Sokolatopita” (Chocolate pie)

Most famous plate: Profiterole. Nice place to sit, have your coffee and enjoy your dessert

Vegan restaurant/juice bar located in Monastiraki for a healthy brunch or a light lunch. Best acai bowls ever!

My personal favorite as it is a good value for money, just next to Monastiraki square (one of the most famous spots in Athens center)
