🍕If you've landed here, you're a pizza fan. 🍕 Same, bestie. I've spent the last 18 months investigating some of the best pizzas around the globe. It's a pretty serious study in the magic combination of dough, sauce, and cheese. From Top 50 contenders, to local spots in California, to where I grew up on the South Side of Chicago, I'm sharing some of the best slices in my book. And no, you won't see a deep dish slice on this list...tavern style all the way when you're in Chicago. If the pizza is on this list, it's good pizza. If it has 5 🍕, then it is an exceptional pizza.

Pizza in Tokyo? In fact, there are some of the best pizzas in Tokyo--and don't sleep on this place. A great backstory, the pizza (only 2 kinds) is absolutely fantastic and the vibes are on point. I hope you like Beatles music.

Tony's Pizza Napoletana

Almost always one of the top 10 in the US, Tony's is a magical pizza emporium. So many different styles, the classic Neopolitan is on point. You'll have to go multiple times to try the others. It's iconic.

Cacio e pepe in pizza form? Yes please. An upscale choice in SF's North Beach with great crust, some innovative toppings, and a magnificent Margherita. There are a lot of pizzas to choose from, so I recommend going with friends. Don't skip dessert.

Potenza is a little off the beaten track, but totally worth the trip to experience an outstanding pizza tasting menu with clever ingredients, well presented in a family-run outstanding pizzeria.

Veg not vegan. Can you go wrong with pizza as a vegetarian? I don't think so. Louie Louie is definitely one of the top spots for pizza in Paris. The restaurant is cozy and the pizzas are creative. Definitely make reservations.

I kind of can't believe I'm sharing this spot with you. It's the best pizza in Chicago that you're not going to know unless YOU KNOW. The South Side makes unbelievable tavern style (thin and crispy, cut in squares) and Barraco's is the true champion. People will fight you over this pizza.
