Stockholm Foodie Guide w/30+ personal recommendations

Pack a ton into a long weekend in Stockholm, Sweden with this ambitious itinerary.

Of the 5 days, the arrival and departure days are slow-paced; the 3 days in the middle are based on days starting at 9 AM, getting in 20k+ steps/day*, and ending around 11 PM/midnight.

*This itinerary also relies on 2-wheel transport. We used scooters, but bikes are available, too.

This itinerary follows a logical and efficient order for each day, and covers the following:
- 5 Museums: Fotografiska, Vasa, Skansen, ABBA, Avicii
- 3 Viewpoints
- Archipelago Boat Experience
- Neighborhoods: Gamla Stan, Sodermalm, Djurgarden island, and some Ostermalm & Norrmalm spots.

Meatballs for the People

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to sample the Swedish meatball!!
The restaurant is so welcoming and has a relaxed vibe. The food is amazing, with so many different options of meat/veggie what’s not to love. You can customise your meal with multiple types of meatball and can confirm they are delicious. If you’re brave enough, you can try some meatballs made out of some more unusual meats as well!!

You can't go to Sweden and not check out this place. Meatballs is their speciality and then fun part is that you get to pick the meat. If you're feeling brave, opt for the Chef's choice and they will pick 4 different meats for you. Don't worry they come with little flags to tell you what's what.  

If looking for authentic Swedish meatballs, this is your spot! They offered a wide variety of meatballs (including but not limited to vegetarian, bear, and reindeer). It gets quite busy so be sure to get there early or order take-out ahead!

This is one of those always packed kind of places. Get the sampler for the full experience but I wouldn't suggest the wine pairing. Get whatever you'd like to drink!
