Results for Salento Nature

Some time ago I happened to read a book about the parks of Salento, the land where I was born and raised and I discovered something that I have always known and that I would like all visitors who come here to know. There is a Salento known throughout the world, that of the fabulous beaches and the blue sea, frequented by tourists especially in the summer. And there is a hidden Salento, to be visited all year round: enchanting paths among numerous protected areas, nature and history, archaeological sites, art masterpieces, artisan workshops and ancient villages, food and wine tastings, rural worlds; places to discover on foot, by bicycle or on horseback, following ancient sheep tracks or sailing along the coast. A great variety of landscapes, both marine and terrestrial, with multicolored seabeds, spectacular caves, golden sand dunes, wetlands that become true paradises for birds. And again; junipers, Mediterranean scrub, garrigue and wild orchids, Aleppo pines, holm oaks, Vallonea oaks and centuries-old olive trees in a countryside dotted with dry stone walls, pajare and fortified farmhouses.

Explore one of the smallest but prettiest regions of Colombia! The Quindío region, known for being the coffee birthplace of Colombia, is safe, touristic, colourful, culturally rich and filled with the most attentionate people. It is definitely a must when visiting the country. Being Colombian myself, I have visited this corner of the world about five or six times already, and it is my favourite place in the whole world (for real). This was exactly my itinerary for my last trip there, when I got to bring my boyfriend to this magical place for the first time and he absolutely fell in love with it as well. Here are some of the activities we enjoyed: - Guided coffee tasting tour - Folkloric dance show - Coffee culture museum - Guided tour around a botanical garden - Visit to the special butterfly nest - Horseback riding through the mountains - Hiking to the source of thermal waters - Spa day and relaxation ... and so much more. Everywhere you turn your head you have the most amazing view, surrounded by nature and its infinite shades of green, with hummingbirds and butterflies filling the space. You will taste some of the best coffee in the world, learn how that became the backbone of the agriculture of the region, appreciate the local cuisine and, the best part, is that most of my recommendations are sustainable tourism! In this itinerary I will not only give you activities and hotels, I will also explain to you how things really work there, what documents are normal to provide hotels with for example, or the best way to contact places and people. The reason I don't give restaurant recommendations in this itinerary is because you can find good food everywhere, in every corner, for every budget, and everyone has different tastes and/or restrictions, which I cannot possibly account for by providing options and alternatives. This being said, I can assure you, yummy food is not what you will miss in Colombia (especially fruits, try as many as you can). I hope you enjoy! xx Nicolle

The Chilí páramo is located at 3,800 meters above sea level between the departments of Quindío and Tolima. It is one of the smallest paramos found in the central mountain range, with an area of approximately 6,192 hectares. Its lands are rich in biodiversity and history, as they were inhabited by the indigenous tribe of the Pijaos. The tour through this páramo starts in Pijao, Quindio is of low-medium difficulty, which makes it very attractive for people to explore this wonderful ecosystem and be amazed with the panoramic views along the way between the mountains, if you are in Quindio do not miss this wonderful place. In my guide you will find the following: -Specification of the routes. 🥾 -Transport schedules (Bus). 🚐 -Lodging recommendations. 🏨 -Personal contact with guides of the region. (The tour must be done paying a tour, I give you the best option and best price)👤 -Costs and prices. 💱 -Details of the route, adding information of the ecological importance of the places to know and the indigenous history that has this paramo. 🗻 I will try to keep most of my guides free, but I would appreciate it if you could send me tips, share with more people or in your networks to support me. Thank you very much for your support. Also, if you have any questions, you will have my direct contact so I can help you in any way possible.📲
