Day 4

After a restful night at the hotel, there are several ways to spend your day and explore Cocora Valley how best suits you. You can ride horses along the Quindío River, while passing through local dairy farms, hike along mountain paths to see Colombia's national tree - the sky-scraping wax palm - in its natural habitat, or simply while away the morning on the patio, sipping coffee and taking in the landscape.  The Cocora Valley is your oyster and you will love it no matter how you choose to experience it.

Before the day ends, you head to the lovely town of Filandia. Prior to dinner, you should visit the Mirador, a unique structure that provides the best views of of the area's stunning sunsets.  From way up high you will be able to truly appreciate the beauty of the surrounding countryside and picturesque villages.

Day 5

Your last full day in Colombia (sad face).  But you are guaranteed to make it one to remember!  Today you travel from Filandia back to Pereira to stay at the luxurious Hotel Sazagua.  On the way you stop at the beautiful Hacienda La Colina for specialty coffee and views of the magnificent landscape.

HACIENDA LA COLINA

Hacienda La Colina grows, roasts, and sells their own coffee, which happens to be delicious. But the ambience is what sets this place apart. You will be thinking about the lush landscape and mind-blowing views long after you return home.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Hi! We're Gabe and Manu. Do you find yourself idly searching Google flights with destination “Anywhere”? Do you spend your workdays daydreaming of random itineraries and mapping out the best way from Sofia, Bulgaria to Prístina, Kosovo? Yes? Then you’re just like us and would probably love some of the trips we’ve planned. No? Then maybe you hate travel planning and have come to just the right place. We are seasoned travelers who have been to over 50 countries. But we hate checking boxes and we are not trying to hit all the major attractions. If you want to run from the Louvre to the Eiffel Tower to Notre Dame, we may not be the right guide for you. If you want to hit up the Hard Rock Cafe in Yerevan on a Thursday to watch a Filipino cover band play Nirvana, then I think you’ll like our style. We know we’re all strapped for time and it’s hard to really get to know a place in 7-10 days, but we are firm believers that it is possible. In our travels we try to seek out those places where you will catch a slice of local life. Where you will look around you and think to yourself, “I am a long way from home.” We love that feeling and even if you’ve never had that opportunity, we think when you feel it you will fall in love with travel too. So, please take a look at some of the itineraries we have to offer or let us know if you’d like something custom. We love building itineraries (almost) as much as we like traveling. Wheels up!
