Let's explore the western part of Liguria, my area of birth, a not well-known region, less touristic, with several hidden gems that i'll share with you. In this little guide we will focus on the area of the province of Savona. Forget about all that stereotypical videos on Istagram about Italian summer: i'll show you the real one, lived by a local who likes a bit of adventure in his experiences. Did you know, by the way, that this is the zone with the highest number of "Bandiera Blu" in all Italy? It's a certification given only to beaches that meet certain standards in terms of water and infrastructures quality. How to reach: You can reach all the places in the list by: - motorbike: it's surely the best option to avoid traffic and to save some time for the parking, just rent that Vespa, slip between the cars, admire the landspace and live the Italian dream ! - bus: line 40-40/ these buses travel from Savona to Finale Ligure and viceversa along the coast. - car: Ligurian riviera has strict streets, there are often renovations and there aren't many places where to park your car, keep it in mind! - bike: a valid option for sporty people but be careful, people in this area drive a little sporty! Keep in mind that the nearest train stations in this area are: - Savona - Spotorno-Noli (Located in Spotorno) - Finale Ligure

This is a one-day food guide through two beautiful cities in Croatia: Split and Zadar. I myself am not croatian, however I´ve visited Croatia a few times with my partner who is Croatian and it´s easy to say that the more I visit the country the more I fall in love with it. Which truthfully comes from someone (me, myself and I) who felt like the country didnt have any good food and who also experienced a cultural shock when I first visited Croatia, leaving me to dislike the people there. However my outlook on the people and the food has completely changed. I hope to recommend some nice eating spots, tips on traveling to Croatia in general including a few little nice stories.

The town of Cala Gonone is a gem right at the heart of the Gulf of Orosei, known for its stunning coastline and marvelous, wild beaches. The most famous ones are accessible only by boat or dinghy, services that should be booked early in advance due to the high demand. ⚓️🌊 But what if you are looking for a more spontaneous solution, where you can just walk or drive for a few minutes and enjoy the cristal-clear Sardinian sea and beaches for free? 🏖🏃🏻‍♀️🚘 With this free map I would like to help you with my best recommendations as a local person to discover the beaches in Cala Gonone, for which you do not need a boat or dinghy to get to. For each spot, you will find detailed notes, pics and videos that I took! 📸🌅 A little tip: as we are located in the Eastern coast of the island, you can admire the dawn on the sea early in the morning! 🌅 ⚠️ You won't always find: public transport, toilets / showes, trash bins, and beach loungers / sun umbrellas. Bars and food trucks are normally located outside of the beaches. There are no taxi services (Uber, Bolt, yellow cabs...) in Cala Gonone and Dorgali. Oban, Scotland is the beginning of the journey to the Inner Hebridean which includes the Isle of Mull, Iona, and many other small islands. My family and I had decided to rent a car and drive from Edinburgh. It is definitely intense to drive on the wrong side. But, you get used to it after a day or so. Otherwise, to get to Oban, you can take a train from Edinburgh. Oban is a small city with a cute main street filled with restaurants and touristy shops. Even though we had a car, we decided to use a ferry/bus tour. You will want to book a ferry/bus tour to the Isle of Mull, Iona, and Staffa. Be prepared for rain, rain, and more rain. We went at the end of June and it was a miserable, rainy, cold day. But enjoy the beauty of the landscape and the history of the people.

Cape Town is such a diverse and fantastic city. It has everything: culture and history, stunning nature, fantastic food, so much wine, a very lovely nightlife, and very friendly people!

The elevation changes in Lisbon provide drama. On foot, you can see streets intersecting at all sorts of odd angles. Get to the top of one of the city's seven hills and you will find sweeping views. The problem is that everybody else is trying to take-in those same vistas. The Portuguese have a word, Miradouro, which means viewpoint. I have no doubt you will find Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara or Miradouro da Graça and all the other famous viewpoints. This list is for some out-of-the-way, less obvious locations that provide great views with fewer people around. I hesitate to call these undiscovered or unknown views in Lisbon. They exist ergo they are known. Let's call them unconventional. These spots are rarely in the guide books and aren't part of the Instagram algorithm yet. I want to share these spots, most of which I found by accident, because they are slyly spectacular.

Here are the tips I found the most useful before my visit or the tips I wish I'd known before arriving.

To truly experience the essence of Budapest, you shouldn't miss out on visiting the city's famous ruin bars. These are quirky, fun bars and cafés located in abandoned, old or ruined buildings. They have mismatched furniture mostly from yard sales or antique shops, random decorations and a very unique atmosphere. Ruin bars are not only places for drinks: they are institutions! Many of them organize live concert, exhibitions, farmer's markets, beer or wine tastings, flea markets, craft fairs, open-air cinema screenings and various events that are not only appealing for the tourists but also for locals. Basically, they have something to offer for everyone. They are perfect melting pots of fun, entertainment, underground culture and gastronomy. I highly recommend you visiting them during the evening AND also during the day as they have incredibly different vibes. During the day, they are great places for grabbing a cup of coffee or a light meal, a few people are even sitting there with their laptops, doing work! During the evening, the ruin bars become more and more lively, people start to have drinks and as the night progresses, many of these bars turn into clubs where you can dance the night away.
