Cape Town is such a diverse and fantastic city. It has everything: culture and history, stunning nature, fantastic food, so much wine, a very lovely nightlife, and very friendly people!

Beautiful Nature:
One of the best things I did when I visited Cape Town was buy a pass for the Hop-On Hop-Off bus. Yes, you read that right. I usually am not a huge fan of touristy tours like this but the one in Cape Town drives down to Haut Bay and then back to Cape Town via Victoria Road. It’s a lovely scenic route and a good option if you don’t want to rent a car. The bus also takes you to both wine estates I’ve listed below.
Victoria Road
@nadinez
Driving down this road feels like being in a movie.
I think the best time to drive from Hout Bay to Cape Town is just before sunset or in the afternoon and then end your evening at any beach to watch the sunset.
On the left you see the ocean with some impressive waves and on the right is Lions Head and Table Mountain.

Cape Point
@nadinez
The ocean is vast and wild, and when you are standing on Cape Point (also known as Cape of Good Hope because the sea there is known to be extremely dangerous) you really understand that. It’s incredibly humbling to stand on the southern most part of Africa and know that the next shore is Antarctica.
Growing up I was fascinated with the story of the Flying Dutchman. For those who don’t know: “De Vliegende Hollander” is a legendary ghost ship that allegedly sunk near Cape Point. It has been haunting the Seas ever since.

Robben Island
@nadinez
Robben Island and the Prison are significant parts of South African history. Nelson Mandela spent 18 years of his imprisonment on this Island.
The Island has a very creepy, abandoned, and haunted vibe.
On the plus side, you get an incredible view across the bay of Cape Town and Table Mountain.

Table Mountain
@nadinez
Table Mountain is a must when you are in Cape Town.
If you want to go up with the cable cars your best bet is to go super early in the morning to avoid the big crowds. They open at 8:00, but you can arrive early. You can always bring breakfast and eat it while in line.
Of course, you could always hike up as well ;)

Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden
@nadinez
It's astonishing to see how diverse South Africas Nature is.
This beautiful Botanical Garden is suited for every weather. Usually, parks aren't my first choice when it rains, but this park feels like you are walking through an actual rainforest. There are bridges where you can walk over the treetops, which is very cool.

Wine Tasting:
Cape Town offers many wine-tasting opportunities as South Africa has some seriously good wine. (if I don’t know what wine to order at a restaurant I choose a South African wine, I’ve never been disappointed)
Here are 2 of my favorite wine tasting experiences:
Groot Constantia-Trust
@nadinez
This was my first ever wine tasting experience and I had absolutely no clue about anything wine related. The beautiful surroundings and the fancy vibe made me feel like I am in fact a wine expert. After the wine tour I was definitely more knowledgeable than before.
The best part of the whole experience is that you could take your wine glass outside the actual tasting area and wander around the garden with it. The wine glass was included in the ticket price and I got to take it home with me which makes quite a good souvenir.

Beau Constantia
@nadinez
The restaurant is modern, with big glass windows overlooking the wine fields. The views were amazing even though I went on a rainy day.
The wine was incredible, and every wine was different. Also, the staff was super friendly.
I don’t know if this is a Cape Town thing, but they pour you a full glass of wine each time. I want to clarify that I thought this was a good thing, just be prepared if you go because you will not leave sober.
I also don’t think I’ve ever been in a cooler/nicer bathroom.

Restaurants:
@nadinez
One of the best Dim Sum Restaurants I've ever been to. Don't be discouraged by the paper plates, the food tasted amazing!
