There isn't a shortage of explorations and activities to do in Cebu, not to mention good Filipino food to sate your cravings in between, easily making it one of the top Visayas tourist spots and best tourist spots in the Philippines.

Koh Lipe is a lesser-known island in the south of Thailand, near the border with Malaysia, and it is 100% worth the visit. This island is full of charm, things to do, places to visit and restaurants to try! We fell in love from the first sunset. In this guide I will share our 4-night itinerary, arriving from Bangkok and leaving for Koh Lanta afterwards. If by the end of this, you have not booked the trip, I will be highly disappointed ;) Best time to go from December to Mid-April.

This guide list is the traveler's guide to navigating Koh Lipe, Thailand. Koh Lipe is the most Southern island of Thailand and located very close to the border of Malaysia. This little slice of paradise is where stunning beaches, clear blue waters, and incredible coral reefs await. This guide will help you prepare for your trip and enjoy every second. Maui has a lot on offer for first timers. To me, Maui is more of a "resort" based island, is very family friendly, has some great, unique activities and it's own take on Hawaiian cuisine. Don't forget the banana bread! You could easily spend a week exploring. I think of Maui from a geographical standpoint and there are 4 key areas to explore: Kaanapali in the north west, Kihei in the south west, Hana in the north east, and Kahului/Haleakala in the middle. The first two are more centralized with hotels/places to stay and the other 2 are easy day trips. 4-5 days is ideal for exploring Maui for the first time!

This is a map of all the places I went to on my 3 month backpacking trip. We flew into Bangkok then island hopped in south Thailand for 2 weeks before flying up to Chiang Mai to explore north Thailand for 2 weeks. Next stop was northern Laos for just over 2 weeks where we got the slow boat from Thailand to Luang Prabang. After Laos was an overnight bus to Hanoi in northern Vietnam where we worked our way down to the south over 3 weeks. Finally finishing in Cambodia for 3 weeks and then bus back to Bangkok to fly home. This map includes recommendations of things to do, places to stay and restaurant recommendations too. I have added in information about the visas, currency, how to get around and important tips and tricks we learnt along the way. You can fit in a lot less than you think when backpacking so this is a realistic map of what is achievable in 3 months. Koh Lanta, in my opinion, the best island to join Koh Lipe on the same trip, is located in the province of Krabi in the South of Thailand. Koh Lanta offers a perfect combination of forest, wildlife and dreamy beaches, which is ideal for any traveller! [Solo, teenagers, families, etc.] It is easily accessible by bus from Krabi or boat from Koh Lipe. The best time to go is from December to mid-April. I recommend going 3-4 days! we stayed for 3.
